KUALA LUMPUR (July 31): Pos Malaysia's international mail and parcels, as well as express mail service (EMS) to all international destinations, except Singapore, will be suspended beginning Aug 3 until further notice.

Pos Malaysia in a statement said the temporary service suspension is due to service impact related to Covid-19, which involves varying levels of restrictions across destination countries on flights, airport closures, and cross-border services.

"There will be updates from time to time on our website and official social-media platforms, and for any enquiries, chat with us via AskPos at www.pos.com.my," said the statement.

not a bad news. their international logistic partner not stable.. people complaint 1month still barang tak sampai.. barang need to quarantine 14 days at klia, then bila sampai destinasi another 14 days.. daripada org terus complaint better suspend terus.. focus on domestic yg volume besar and until now tak menang tangan.. somemore revenue from international tak besar.. rm1.4 soon.. :)

Pos Malaysia customers may opt for the AsiaXpress international courier service at selected post offices for the delivery of international mail and parcel to more than 220 countries worldwide. AsiaXpress is a subsidiary of Pos Malaysia

The service is an available alternative as Pos Malaysia is temporarily suspending outbound international mail, parcel and Express Mail Service (EMS) services to all international destinations (except Singapore) beginning 3 August 2020 until further notice.

All international mails and parcels accepted for posting before the abovementioned date are not affected and will be delivered accordingly.

The temporary service suspension is due to service impacts related to Covid-19, which include varying levels of restrictions across destination countries on flights, airport closures and cross border services.

@da4444 highly possible but not this year I think. Their business is still more or less affected by Covid but new normal will benefit them greatly in the long run.

Some people miss their buys because wait too long, now theyre trying to scare away others, lol. There's only upwards from here on, I've made a lot of points last few weeks, there's more signal to buy than to sell. Don't be scared holding POS, just look at Gdex with 90 pe ratio, thats how much people are willing to pay for courier company.

Based on the news, 2Q loss will be narrowed, and full year breakeven might not be possible. It probably hint 2 things:
1. 2Q results will still be in red but less than 1Q losses
2. 3Q/4Q results will probably be in green but not able to cover 1Q + 2Q losses

It'll probably swing between 0.8-1.2 until near 3Q results. If we see increasing EPS pattern from 3Q onwards, it'll become the next glove counter.

Now is the best time to accumulate if you believe in this counter.

POS themselves said they will not be profitable until at least 2021-2022 and this is said during 2019. and analyst put price target 1.55-1.7

Now analyst are predicting end of year will break-even, means first quarter next year will be profitable.

Doesnt that sound like POS will be profitable faster than predicted?

So target price 1.55-1.7 should still be valid. Buy the dip! This is a good business for long term, plus they pay good dividends too
