2. Nikkei Index at all time high makes more people rich and they want to invest overseas. Japanese may be familiar with YTL as YTL Hotels owns a 462 ha mountain ski resort in Niseko Village in Hokkaido, Japan.
3. Some Merger & Acquisition (M&A) which I don't know what are the details. Big Japanese corporation buying some stake in YTL? YTL sell their asset in Japan? Or some form of JV in the pipeline?
UBS sold 57.8 million shares on 29/2/2024, the volume was very high. However, the candle on 29/2/2024 is still green. It means other funds are buying while UBS was selling. Thank you. ------------------ The share price of YTL is at new high. It means other institution funds are buying YTL despite UBS is reducing its stake. Good news. Thank you.
We need to focus on underlying issues affecting our local market. There is possibility of more funds coming back to take advantage of the narrowing rate gap between our ringgit and the USD. Hopefully with the Fed turning more dovish our market can see more upside. YTLP and YTL both are seen as beneficiaries
Craziest stock for 2024. Got in twice and sold. I feel like an impatient fool for selling too early at 2.65 on the 2nd round. Hopefully there is a retracement like before.
I'm the very first one to notice the disparity between Tokyo price & the local price because I have a sizeable Japanese portfolio & have to monitor my 13 paper gainers there...the disparity just WIDENED this morning to 30%! As I suspected, the small % of YTL shares trading in Tokyo is being cornered, with the peak price being the equivalent of $4.65!
YTL in Japan (Code 1773) has just increased by 29% close to LIMIT UP to 135 yen.
Convert 135 yen = RM4.27
Something must be brewing... because Japanese are generally very particular about money won't simply spend money to invest unless really strong growth story.
By the way, YTL earnings +535% in Q4 2023 vs. Q4 2022. Please tell me another company with earnings jump >500% in Bursa.
