Disposal of development property at Little Bay, New South Wales by TA Global has been completed today. Expect speculative play on TA and TA Global tomorrow.
b ) For TAGB ~ TA Enterprise Berhad ( 60.1748% ) ~ Datuk Tiah Thee Kian ( Direct 9.9516% / Indirect 19.1223% ) ~ Mr. Tiah Joo Kim ( 5.003% ) ~ Datin Tan Kuay Fong ( Direct 0.1269% / Indirect 0.1861%)
*** Total no of securities for TA + Datuk Tiah families is 75.2563% ( Balance in the open market is 24.7437% / 1,316,859,700 units )
After the land sales and repayment of borrowing, TAGB will save around RM 17m interest yearly, that is extra RM 17m net profit, so I guess both TAGB and TA will benefit from it. Plus, the Ringgit is appreciating lately, it will even help more.
I still believe have a chance to break 0.70 this week, and a healthy price correction yesterday, of course need volumes to support it. Based on 12 months chart, it tested RM0.70 above but failed 2 times, people tends to sell around RM0.70 is understandable. For those who not intend to sell like me, will hold it. After that, expect the price go up to RM1 above based on PE ratio 8.
Recognia has detected a "Double Moving Average Crossover" chart pattern formed on TA Enterprise Bhd (4898:MYX). This bullish signal indicates that the stock price may rise from the close of 0.675.
Tells Me: The price is generally in an established trend (bullish or bearish) for the time horizon represented by the moving average periods. Moving averages (MA) are used to smooth out the volatility or "noise" in the price series, to make it easier to discover the underlying trend. By plotting the average price over the last several bars, the line is less "jerky" than plotting the actual prices. In the double crossover method, a bullish event is generated when a faster moving average crosses above a slower moving average (21-bar MA crosses 50-bar, or 50-bar MA crosses 200-bar). In this state, the price is likely in an established uptrend. The opposite is true when the faster slips below the slower moving average, triggering a bearish event.
This bullish pattern can be seen on the following chart and was detected by Recognia proprietary pattern recognition technology.
TAGB @ 38 sen , 0.38 x 1.8 = 68.4 sen That is just the share of TA in TAGB. The rest of TA business namely stock broking and investments are all for FREE !!! What can we say some more if not maybe the most undervalued stock in Bursa ??
Book value refers to the total amount a company would be worth if it liquidated its assets and paid back all its liabilities.
Calculation as per below: Book value = Total Asset - Total liabilities
Let me do the Book Value calculation for TA. The calculation is based on the latest Q3 2017 report.
To get a clear picture, i will exclude intangible assets for this calculation.
Since TA is own 60.17% TAGB, i need to exclude Non Controlling Interest(please refer Balance Sheet)
Book value = Total Asset - intangible assets - total liabilities - Non Controlling Interest(NCI) Book value = RM7,837,629,000 - RM326,517,000 - RM4,020,661,000 - 1,256,321,000 Book value = RM2,234,130,000
Book value per share = Book value divided by number of shares = RM2,234,130,000 / 1,711,909,630 = RM1.30
Price to Book ratio (P/B) = Market Price per Share / Book value per Share = 0.68 / RM1.30 = 0.52
As a general rule of thumb, share price is trading close to its book value per share, it is deemed to be fairly priced.
How about TA? With RM0.68 closing price, it trading at a steep discount to thier book value and offer great bargains for investors.
All of it is paper work only. Do you think TA will dispose all the assets or 60.1748% TAGB share ( who wants to buy ???? ) and then refund back the $ to the shareholder.
Please take note : -
The disposal of the land in Australia by TAGB will increase the profit and cash flow.
However the profit is increased for TA but not the cash flow. TA on how to continue to expand it's own sources are more important.
@Lele, of course we never think TA will sell their assets. TA always emphasized the recurring income, that why TA not in a hurry to sell TA Securities to get one off profit as this biz still provide cash cow to the group. I believe no harm to take a look for TA book value.
Based on the above valuation metrics, we can observed both stocks are trading at extremely cheap valuations, and thus presents an attractive investment for investors looking for value.
Both stocks qualify as earnings-based play - low P/E and assets-based play - low P/BV.
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
