Agree with Calvintaneng.....It is super undervalued company....can't find anymore in Bursa..so everyone should hold tight tight and die die don't want to sell.
That's the way brother, no way for TT to get what he wants cheaply.
I was looking for another counter to compare and learn something as this mgo is something new for me. Interestingly found Petaling tin as a counter currently undergoing a takeover offer by it's substantial shareholder. Initial offer in May 2016 was for 24 sens. After 2 years, new offer just released in May 2018 and it is 40 sens per share. So looks like this whole takeover thing may take sometime to play out. Need a lot of patience.

Ya...look like super undervalued stock. But you should look at the price action of the stock and study its pattern. The major shareholder is controlling the price
Fabien I find this offerer wanting to maintain listing status kind of confusing. When offerer has bought all outstanding shares and has 100% shareholding, what is the purpose of this listing status??
Dear Singh1, It mean Datuk Tiah do not have the intention of taking TAE private. The conditional GMO is madatory by law for him to collect above 33% holding because he see the true value in TAE.
Dear all, Be patience and let the rule & regulation take it due course. The independent advisor will do valuation on TAE base on several establish valuation methods. It is foregone conclusion that the verdict will be the offer price is unfair and unreasonable and the advice to minority shareholders will be to reject the offer. Datuk Tiah is doing a favor to all the minority shareholders by buying up TAE share, so be grateful and thankful.
Sslee and lucky I am beginning to understand better, thanks. While we can see that Tony wants to buy remainder of outstanding shares in market, in reality it won't take much for him to trigger a mgo with TA Global as his TA purchase will increase his TAGB shareholding indirectly and for which he is also pretty close to hitting 33%.
apolloang, in Dutaland's case it was a rescue reverse takeover of Mycom thru injection of Kenny Heights paid via issuance of shares/convertible loan stocks and Dato Yap was granted exemption from making an MGO.
Anyone understands 3rd paragraph of item 4.1 of the MGO notice?
They mentioned there will be no adjustment to the offer price pursuant to the 4.1c dividend declared (cuz if adjusted the offer price will be lower than the highest price paid by TT previously), but didn't mention whether still entitle to the dividend if offer taken...
Thanks for sharing. If TT really pressing down the prices, I will keep buying, then sell back to him at 0.66. Might not be a big profit, but still a profit.
In the end, there's nth for us to lose, and TT will get his offer accepted at 0.66, kinda win-win.
A lot of people don't seem to understand the rules of an Mandatory General Offer (MGO) which is triggered once the 33% threshold level is crossed. The person making the offer can no longer buy at a price above the offer price for two years. The offer is also CONDITIONAL upon achieving 50% threshold level. If 50% not achieved, the person making the offer can decline to pay the offer price and not buy the shares from those who accepted the offer.
Dear TheContrarian, I think the relevant SC rules 21.02 apply: Six months delay before acquisition over offer price. That mean after the offer end Datuk Tiah still can buy from open market at price of 0.655 for the next six month before he is allowed by law to buy above 0.66 cents.
Rule 21.02 applies where offeror holds 50%, otherwise rule 21.01 applies which delays a possible subsequent higher offer to 12 months from closure date (and any extension) of the first offer.
