@Mabel, if one is holding Dayang, should he dispose and switch to Serba? what is your advice..
how should we look at Dayang.. understand its business is oil rig maintenance and should not be affected by oil price, but the share price seems to be correlated with the oil price..
Appreciate your thoughts.. as small investors tend to panic sell when they see the price drop.. how we avoid this..

So this morning I monitored both of my sons doing their homework and after that we watched some back-to-back movies together without me having the slightest concern on what might happen to my portfolio today.

Opened my stock app for the first time today roughly 5 minutes ago and nothing much happened.

If I was an active day trader constantly feeling all jittery and itchy by the slightest movement in the market, I can kiss my happiness and serenity goodbye.

Not many people are willing to play the waiting game, because everybody wants to make quick money the quickest they can and so do I hahaha. 2 weeks is long enough for some.

One year ago, KAB was hovering between 0.08 and 0.1. Today, it's priced at 0.84 per piece, and they're eyeing a move to the mainboard as well!

Why settle for one when you can have two?

I'm holding both Battleships. Dayang is my latest collection of 16 Battleships that cover the entire
Oil & Gas Supply Chain: Upstream, Middle Stream and Downstream. Serba and Dayang are few of my selection for Downstream Business Segment.

Dayang, I just started collecting about a month ago while I have been collecting Serba before the Bonus and Right Issues. Today I bought another two batches of Serba (my 18th and 19th collection) after they announced a Mega Contract in UAE.

Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd has bagged a US$1.78 billion (RM7.71 billion) contract for the engineering, procurement and construction of an innovation hub, academic campus, related facilities and information technology (IT) infrastructure in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The scale of this project is more than 2x Serba's annual revenue.

Dayang is another good and healthy company. In addition, the Government just announced they are allowing O&G service providers to operate. Do bear in mind Petronas is a Non-OPEC member and it has no obligation to reduce the output of oil unless voluntarily and they have no obligation to reduce the output at the same percentage. Even if they did that's just about 20% before the demand picks up again. Dayang already have an Order Book of RM 4.5 Billion for scheduled maintenance at Invoicing rate of 300M per qtr or 1.2 Billion per annum. Even you reduce that by 20% (following OPEC oil output cut), you will end up with 1 Billion revenue for 2020. 2021 would be business as usual. RM 1 Billion revenue for 2020

In the worst case, even shutting down & re-start up of rigs will require more intense services from Dayang....there would be so much of complication requiring Dayang services during this period.

When you buy this type of stock you need to give a window of 6-12 month. Anything less is a bonus.

Another consideration is unlike my Upstream collections like Hibiscus, Velesto, Sapnrg, Scomies and Reach, Serba and Dayang are not subjected to oil fluctuations as the producers still require continuous maintenance.

for investor who wish to sell dayang & buy serba is better to own this 2 stock & keep.both stocks or profitable co & good management.i bought dayang 2 weeks ago & serba i bought last year before bonus & right issue.both dayang & serba my tp is RM 3. this afternoon i bought drb hicom as i believe after this covid market will slowly recover & drb will go.up at least RM 2.40..as for dayang will will top up if drop below RM 0.90.market will recover. need to be patient.

i read your post in Serba that you attended its AGM before and the Director is very much on the ground..

How about Dayang? have you attended the AGM before? How is the management composition and their familiarity with the business?

I think Dayang is mainly reliant on Petronas contract? unlike Serba which is more diversified ..like today's news that it secured project in Abu Dhabi.. does that mean it is riskier for Dayang?

Hopefully it does not sound like stupid questions.. thanks Mabel in advance..

and also @paktua.. maybe i am new to the forum.. is paktua trying to convey the message to us to have confidence in Dayang and not affected by the short term volatility now?

My entry price was 2.48 back then.. and when it rebounded from the sharp fall.. i added again at 1.49.. and being new to investment .. i still trying to control from being emotionally affected too much by the fluctuation in share price..

My humble advice to all newbies, if you have invested your savings in Dayang ...please treat this investment as your Fixed deposit (FD) for the next 6 to 9 months (don't bother the trend)...Compared to bank FD of less than 4% max , u will...confirm earn more than 100% from Dayang in 6 months. Q1(May end) result will not be good if based on historical trend but don't be disappointed and sell... just hold till Q2 to seen the returns...In the past, I have kept my investment from end of 2018 (Dec) up till 2020...only sold before 2020 CNY and made 350% profit...just my 2 cents.

The main reasons why I put 60/70 as a Target Price is because many people keep saying that Dayang will drop at this level. You need to scroll up to understand this.

So I put this target in writing to see if Dayang can really hit this so call target price. So far Dayang has failed miserably.

Please spend time reading. There's lots of information in this forum already..

i don't believe in selling and buying back at low..
I have many times wasted my profit by selling low and to buy back at higher price... the up trend usually will be difficult to match the price we desire...my 2 cents.

Hi Mkme.. the money invested is excess cash ..so i have no urgent need to sell..just that fighting with the mental stress looking at the unrealised loss getting bigger and bigger since all these pandemic, oil price and political uncertainty started..

As a newbie to investment (just started last year Oct).. some of my experienced friend told me not to be panic when market is down.. so i keep reminding and need guidance from other experienced investors ..

Breaking News from CNBC

The International Energy Agency (IEA) on Wednesday forecast a 29 million barrel per day (bpd) dive in April oil demand to levels not seen in 25 years and said no output cut could fully offset the near-term falls facing the market.

Brent crude fell $2.04, or 6.8%, to $27.59 a barrel, giving up an earlier gain.

U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude slid 45 cents, or 2.2%, to $19.67. Earlier in the session WTI dropped to its lowest level since Feb. 2002.
