Do not punt and contra. Lock profit at the right time (guess and investors won't never be able to get max profit) and replan strategy.

This counter...I can't make money, s3upid i know lol. When it broke below 76.5c I ran without hesitation and swapped all to Ekovest. Had I held back, this one did better than Ekovest. Even then I knew it was wrong to sell, but couldn't overcome the fear on valuations for this counter

As mentioned before, 1589 is less fatty comprare to the other. Total share issued is smaller and the agong effect hence OP will do this bb easily and faster vs the other stock. Well, in all investment, we don't greedy and there is no regret. I bought 8877 at lower price but I took quite a handsome profit last week. Today it surged up so much again. But, we are safe isn't it. Thus, don't feel regret or own self is stp or whatever. As long as we are safe and gained some good ROI, that is good already. UncleFollower is great already, gained from 8877 is good too. 5148 is quite a high risk counter.

Property sector still underowned, says RHB IB

KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 8): RHB Investment Bank (RHB IB) Research has maintained its “overweight” rating on the property sector and said the re-rating in property sector still has legs.

In a sector update on Monday, the research house said that the overall macroeconomic environment, government policies and investment flows are encouraging, supporting the growth in property sales in 2024-2025.

Sector is still underowned
RHB IB said many local institutional funds have yet to take a meaningful position in the property sector.


It said foreign shareholding, for example, has yet to increase substantially.


It said both UEM Sunrise Bhd and Sunway Bhd have foreign shareholding of less than 6%, as compared to about 22% during the peak a decade ago (GIC’s shareholding made up 12% for Sunway then).

“We remain confident with our positive view on the Iskandar Malaysia property market given the concentration of high profile investments and infrastructure developments that are taking place in the southern region.

RHB IB said that in the short term, both the Malaysian and Singaporean governments are expected to sign the memorandum of understanding for the highly anticipated Johor-Singapore special economic zone on Jan 11, 2024.

It said the recent entry of Nvidia and Microsoft points to a boost in confidence among foreign investors, especially in the data centre space.

“The influx of investments and rising demand for industrial lands are already driving the land prices in Johor, and major landowners such as UEM Sunrise Bhd and Sunway Bhd will likely enjoy further RNAV (revised net asset valuation) re-rating going forward,” it said.

10%-15% growth in property sales
RHB IB expects most developers to guide 2024 sales targets that are 10%-15% higher than the 2023 target.

“A number of developers indicated that they plan to roll out more projects in Iskandar Malaysia this year,” it said.

rr is right. Sell into strength. RNAV thingy will not surface out so fast. Brokers r preparing to write articles and line up to post in near future, one by one, 一波一波,nothing is new for such thing. They planned for it. Who will be the final winner? Not yet to know as long as one doesn't stop buying shares.

Slowly but surely to win, go for the laggard rather than those already overbought in past weeks? Errr. Idk also. Sorry. Prevention is better than cure. Greed kills always. Well, some may say, no risk no gain, no cheong no shiok? 😂🤣

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 9 — Johor’s proposed Light Rail Transit (LRT) project will have at least three lines with their respective terminal stations to be located at Ikea Tebrau, at the Iskandar Puteri area (at either Legoland or Forest City), and at Senai, a report has said.

In the report released on Sunday, local news outlet Oriental Daily cited a source as saying that the entire Johor LRT project is estimated to cost RM20 billion with a total length of 30km and with 50 LRT stations.

According to Oriental Daily, the source said that the Johor LRT will complement the Johor Baru-Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) rail service which is expected to be completed in 2026.

The source also reportedly said both the LRT and the RTS would form a one-hour metropolitan area in the Johor Baru area and enable those in Johor and Singapore to enjoy a more convenient and fast public transport system while also changing the way they travel.

Oriental Daily also reported the source as saying that the Johor state government has made a preliminary decision on the location for the transportation hub — linking the Johor LRT and RTS — which is expected to be at the Taman Tasik and Danga Bay area.

According to the news report, the first phase of the Johor LRT project would involve the construction of a 10km track linking the LRT’s transportation hub with the RTS’s Bukit Chagar station.

(The RTS is a 4km-long railway shuttle link between two stations, namely Bukit Chagar in Johor and the Woodlands North station in Singapore, with a capacity of 10,000 passengers per hour in each direction and expected ridership of 40,000 passengers per day.)

Oriental Daily also said it understands that the Johor LRT project will be a public-private partnership, with a consortium — led by Malaysian listed firm Nylex (Malaysia) Berhad and including Malaysian property developer LBS Bina Group Berhad and Thailand’s listed company BTS Group Holdings Limited Public Company Limited — expected to invest in the project.

(Previously, Nylex had on March 21, 2022 entered into a heads of agreement with LBS Bina, BTS, Sinar Bina Infra Sdn Bhd and Ancom Nylex Berhad to collaborate on building an LRT system connected with the RTS with an integrated property development under the transit-oriented development concept in Johor Baru. BTS Group Holdings is the majority shareholder of Bangkok Mass Transit System Public Company, which is the operator of Bangkok’s rail line BTS SkyTrain.

In the same news report, China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd’s (CHEC) Southern Pacific division’s managing director Ma Jianhua told Oriental Daily that the company is working with the Nylex-led consortium with the hope of having the first phase of the Johor LRT project implemented as soon as possible.

CHEC is a subsidiary of China Communications Construction Company Ltd, with its Malaysian unit CHEC Construction (M) Sdn Bhd established in Kuala Lumpur in 1993.

According to Oriental Daily, CHEC Construction (M) Sdn Bhd has been involved in more than 60 projects in Malaysia with a total contract value of more than RM16 billion, and with completed projects including the second Penang bridge or the Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah Bridge, land reclamation works at Port Klang, and works for the extension of the Ampang line for the Klang Valley’s LRT.
