I am puzzled why the internal reorganisation and transfer of listing is not conditional upon SOA, imagine if SOA is rejected, does it mean warrant holders will then hold unlisted warrant in a shelf company?

Will SC allow that?

Of course SC will allow it, now this Islamic government whatever it got related to islamic things sure will just allow it. Law is useless in Malaysia.

depend takaful qr this week. huge potential ahead

Posted by keithtrade > 2020-01-22 11:10 | Report Abuse

Yes I think mainly due to dividend re-investment plan, but still glad I took that option as I got more shares at a far lower price through that option but that explains the drop

Volume is very low for both BIMB and BIMB-wa. Those in the know is holding on to the proposed SOA completion in 3rd quarter which is max 6 months ahead.
At 0.145 , you would be getting 0.26/share which is 79% in 6 months.
Its already proposed since Dec 2019. Below link (page 22)
https://www.bursamalaysia.com/market_information/announcements/company_announcement/announcement_details?ann_id=3008848
Banks dont do these proposals for fun, they plan and execute them accordingly because it involves alot of cost and manpower.
EPF is ramping up buying, now at 12.7% from 11.43% in 2018 annual report.
Tabung Haji holds 53.82% .
Looking forward for CONFIRMED 0.26/share payout by 3rd quarter 2020.

ASB holds 6.26%
PNB 5.49%
KWAP 2.2 %
They never sold any shares during Feb/March.
80% of major institution is holding to their shares in BIMB.
The proposal will unlock its true value going forward.

BIMB-wa is a sure bet during this time of uncertainty !

The Board of Directors of MBSB has recommended a Single-Tier Final Dividend of 3.0 sen net per Ordinary Share for the financial year ended 31 December 2019 ("Proposed Dividend").

Based on the total number of ordinary shares issued of 6,713,401,615 as at 31 December 2019, the Proposed Dividend payable would be approximately RM201.4 million.

The Board of Directors has determined that the option to reinvest via the Dividend Reinvestment Plan ("DRP") shall apply to the entire portion of the Proposed Dividend. The approval for the Proposed Dividend will be sought at the coming Annual General Meeting.

Under DRP, shareholders will have the following options in respect of the electable portion:-

(a) elect to exercise the option and thereby reinvest the entire electable portion (or a part thereof) at the issue price of the new MBSB shares ("DRP Price") and to receive cash for the remaining portion of the dividend (in the event that only part of the electable portion is reinvested); or

(b) elect not to exercise the option to reinvest and thereby receive their entire dividend entitlement wholly in cash.

There will be no brokerage fees and other related transaction costs payable by shareholders on the new MBSB shares allotted pursuant to the DRP.

The Books Closure date in respect of the Proposed Dividend will be announced after the Annual General Meeting.

This announcement is dated 6 May 2020.
