The Q3 2024 result will be released on 24 May 2024, I believe Q3 2024 will be very good.
Believe that TS Francis Yeoh will announce a higher dividend after Q3 2024 result as promised.
Hopefully, the share price of YTLPower will hit 5.55 after good Q3 2024 result releases.

HLIB will revise up the target price of YTLPower after good Q3 2024 result.
Hopefully, the share price of YTLPower will cross 6.30 after good Q4 2024 result releases in August 2024.
According to Fibonacci projection, the target price will hit 161.8% around 6.50 in August 2024.
I will use this target price as a reference only.

Hopefully my prediction will come through in August 2024.

Macquarie places a lot of weight into YTLPower's AI data centre business with forecase net profit contribution of as much as RM1.5 billion in FY2026 from 100MW of AI data centres, rising to RM2.4 billion net profit contribution in FY2029 from 200MW AI data centres and to RM3.5 billion in FY2029 from 300MW AI data centres.

For the non-AI data centre business, Macquarie forecasts for 72MW of capacity in FY2026 with EBITDA contribution of RM161m in FY2025, rising to RM251m in FY2026 and RM461m in FY2029 from a total of 208MW of non-AI data centres.

From what i can gather, more IB will be scrambling to imput higher earnings contributions from the data center. Target price will get higher again. Now they are afraid they will miss the boat by being too convervative on their earnings estimate. More FOMO from IB is expected

I believe the insiders are buying before Q3 2024 result to be released on 24/5/2024.
The Q3 2024 result must be very good.
FY 2025 result will be better because of Nvidia participation in AI and cloud data center.
The share price is always 6 months ahead of the result.

HSBC raised Nvidia TP increased to 1350 which will make it a 3 trillion company. 50% upside from current price. YTLP has much potential to power ahead..

Now YTLP just needs to focus on its agreed 100MW AI Nvidia Data Centre and 72MW Data centre. The balance can be planed for future(next 5-10 years) to ensure its data centre to be the most advanced AI data centre in future. AI development is very fast currently and YTLP is in no hurry to secure more for now. The more powerful AI computer, the more $$ it can make.

Johor land is very hot now due to booming data centre development in the state. Accordingly land prices have been going up and up. YTL Power had the far-sight 2 years ago to have bought the Kulai's 1640 acre of land at just RM6.00 psf. Now land prices in the vicinity has gone up by 4x to 23 times!

If we use the recent transaction prices of land in Johor recently, ranging from RM26 psf (KSL land acquisition of 183.33 acres at RM211.6 million on 30 April 2024) to RM138 psf (AME land disposal of 34.91 acres for RM209.8 million on 13 May 2024), YTLP's 1640 acres of land in Kulai is worth RM1.8 billion to RM9.8 billion.

On the other hand, that also shows the competitive advantage that YTL Power has in terms of developing new data centres in Johor as its land is large and relatively cheap.

greetings YTLpower playars... its 7:38am where i am now (12:38pm msia) and what a glorious morning to wake up to, and thx @dragon328 for the McQ report and more importantly the johor land sale analysis, AME was suspended yesterday for their announcement of the johor land sale, soon south johor will run out of land to sell (surprisingly AME shares went up at opening but cannot sustain - the bane of one off positive news no sustainability)... wonder if the kulai plot has already started to be developed.... i believe it shd have? cheers and peace....

Tenaga Nasional is RM12.42 now (14-05-2024 at 12.30 pm Tuesday).
But YTL POWER is only RM5.05.
So, there is still a big gap of RM7.37 comparing the the two.

By now there is still a big gap of RM7.37 of price difference between YTLPOWER and TNB.
and YTLPOWER's price is not even "half" of TNB.
Sooner or later YTLPOWER will chase up or to narrow the gap .

We cannot compare the share price of YTLP directly with TNB's as YTLP has a share cap of 8.2b while TNB has a smaller share cap of 5.8b.

It is more appropriate to compare the market cap of both: YTLP at RM41.0b, much lower than TNB's market cap of RM71.9b.

Tenaga is forecast to make a net profit of RM4.5 billion for Dec FY2025 while YTL Power is expected by Macquarie to make a net profit of RM4.2 billion for June FY2026.

Compare the PER of both:

YTL Power at forward PER of just 9.8x FY2026 earnings
TNB is at forward PER of 16.0x FY2025 earnings

I expect the valuation of YTL Power to close the gap in coming 2 years to at most a 5%-10% discount to TNB's valuation of 16x PER. So, come 2026, I expect YTL Power to trade up to 15x EPS 51.2 sen = RM7.68.

But sometimes one's expectations could come much.faster.
I predicted that YTLPOWER would reach RM5.00 in June 2024. To my surprise it reached the target in May ，much earlier than I expected.
The influx of the foreign funds could be another booster in propelling the share to greater heights.
