Federal govt to ink additional deal with Selangor

PETALING JAYA: The Federal Government will sign an additional water deal with Selangor on Friday afternoon.

The event is expected to take place at 3pm at the Implementation Coordination Unit (ICU) in Putrajaya.

The signing is an additional deal to the existing master water restructuring agreement between the Federal and the state government.
The Selangor water restructuring deal has seen unexpected drawbacks since 2008 due to a number of disagreements between the state and the federal governments, although the master agreement was signed last year during Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim’s tenure as Mentri Besar.
