keanfee: dividend 0.059 means 1 share you will get RM0.059, M'sia 1 lot= 100 shares= RM5.9 If you buy 10 lot @ RM4.42, you have to pay RM4420++ and you will get RM59 for your dividend..

buy MPHB if i were you. Their demerging exercise still coming! dont buy when market spikes. well, if you hold to the buy high and sell higher, then by all means.......

digi will be a safe stock to maintain over a mid- to long term!

its consistent because Digi's report showed weakness in the IDD and voice segment, eroded by Maxis aggressive market approach. You need to do research!

To my fellow proponent in Digi, liew kimguan;

Second interim dividend of 5.9 sen per share DiGi is sticking to its track record of quarterly dividend payments, which gives shareholders a steady and dependable income stream.

The stock will trade ex-entitlement for a second interim dividend of 5.9 sen per share on Aug 22.

Kc Loh: He does, and Digi is one of the counters. Among others. I would salivate when he tells about the dividends, bonus issues etc. But he - as with those patient investors - deserve these. "Good things come to those who wait"... provided you are holding good counters. Sigh... if only it had gone to 3.99 that time.

Digi is a darling counter among fund manager...hold for long term, accumulate on dip and sell a little on 20% profit.
My 1 sen strategy...
It is definitely 1 of my permanent stock to hold till I pass it to my son...

Hi friends,

Interested in having a trading account where you do not need to pay for your shares up to 2 weeks?
Absolutely NO interest charged. Brokerage is the same as a normal trading account out there, only 0.42%.

Imagine being able to ride on a nice up-trend for 2 weeks and reap all its profit without even paying for it in the first place?
Or, use this facility to sit on counters while waiting for it to move. A normal T+3 account would not allow you to do so.

Not only that, this account allows you to leverage. Every RM1.00 of capital = RM2.50 of buy limit. Now you could diversify your investment into more counters or different sectors or maybe you could invest in a few blue-chips counters with this facility.

Is this too good to be true? Act now and try it yourself. It costs you absolutely nothing to try!

Do not miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Let me know if you are interested.

My email is t10.nointerest@gmail.com

but seriously liew, just FYI, if the P/E goes to above 27x it could be on the high side already. either you can take a chance on playing dip, or continue to buy on weaknesses. So far, Bloomberg has the P/E at 26.4x (slightly high on their average 25.9x threshold), which i think still gives DiGi room to maneuver ever so slightly. watch out for that! 4.90, maybe?

Your call, pare (as they say in the philippines)!

liew: There's an alternative in its warrants where you can "have more". The one disadvantage is that they have an expiry date, of course. But if one strongly feels they are good to have and will likely go up in the near future, he would get more bang for the buck here. Unfortunately, he can't sit it out and wait like with ordinary shares should the the counter go on a downturn.

Taking quote from Affin dealer...
With the impending election and high foreign investment %. Possibility of KLCI eyeing 1700, especially with FGV n IHH coming into picture.

But last year deja vu still linger. Market bottom till 1350 smthng after hitting record high of 1525. I thnk it happen smwhr arnd this time.
Philip Fund Manager forecast the same scenario happen this year...
But who can predict the market accurately. We can only take guidance frm smwhr. I do make 16% retun frm my share last year when I go in at 13++ KLCI but my Unit Trust Investment got hit quite badly.

Frankly, im more incline it go down to 14++ level.

bull run may provide impetus to 1700. it looks like bull is at the background, but will it take off or not, who knows?

have a look at what morgan stanley (emerging market) states in the paragraph above the red highlighted box: https://www.dropbox.com/s/od7en6usm7zzknp/Malaysia%20on%20radar%20of%20fund%20managers.png

let me just briefly translate each of them-
private investment in capacity creation - domestic consumption intact;
foreign Direct investment - you all know that, albeit waiting election;
private and public investment infras - govt spending and institutional!

The whole recipe for bull run (not super, because one more element is missing) is there! So what is holding back? General election? more money back to raykat schemes? FDIs once they finish their cycle with South Korea and Indonesia? who is to know?

from your input of philip capital, i think they are in an impasse to vote with their feet and research. no offense, but typical analyst style of saying they dunno! of course, any climb will also entails a drop, but i personally see 2013 as better than 2012. should worry more toward end 2013 or 2014 earliest! 1630 denotes to me full value as it is, but will a bull run, all bets are off!

Yep, thts why I only take 50% of their guide. The rest is from other source.

Only Time will tell...

Just ride with the market...
Market drop, accumulate further.
Market fully valued, take profit or do portfolio rebalancing.

As for Digi, currently at 8% return. Yehaa.. I'll take some profit once reach 15% (TP at 4.90) and accumulate for next correction...

15 years to go...

Cheers
