we have yet to see whether malaysian high vaxxing rate can deliver a sustainable low daily infection rate or otherwise, what with the rapid opening up & loosening up of everything

UK, US, israel, singapore all already achieved high vaxxing rate 7 months or more earlier than malaysia

It is normal for those company with big capital to earn more, there is nothing special or prosperous about it. Do one expect a company like Tenaga, Maybank or Public Bank to earn less than 100m ?
Here we have a Finance Minister that wants to punish companies for being big. The parasitic mindset is so glaring.
The extra taxation not going to earn much for the country coffers, but the market capitalization this move will wipe off will supersede that in many multiples.
This is why this country cannot move up fast because the chosen one are too dumb to know they are dumb. The one choses them also being a fool....for far too long.

Prosperity tax is just an.excuse to milk more taxes from the.big companies. Those.companies which.made.billions or few hundred.millions will get taxed more even.if their profits come down. Where got prosperity if your profits come down?
During last year budget, the oil price was about.US 40 per.barrel . Now it is 80 plus。Petronas can easily pay additional 30b to the government as dividend. Why must the government increase the tax rate to 33 % ? I just do not trust that this additional tax rate will be used to help the poors. The politicians will find ways to squander off more money into their pockets.
