Congratulation to G Capital for getting a higher rate per kWh output from 25 sen to 28,98 [an increase of 16%) for its 10 MW hydro plant in Lenggong. PHREC that owns 10% equity interest in that hydro project is in fact an indirectly owned subsidiary of G Capital. G Capital currently has interests number of hydro projects which are both under development and completed in Perak. Recently G Capital has announced its interest to purchase a number of hydro projects in Perak and Pahang.
Gunung Hydropower Sdn Bhd (GHSB), has successfully secured approval for a 10 megawatt (MW) small hydropower project in Sungai Perak, Perak.
The project is under the Sustainable Energy Development Authority Malaysia’s (SEDA Malaysia) small hydro feed-in tariff (FIT) programme.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, G Capital said the approval has improved the expected annual revenue for the 10MW project by 15.9 per cent over the 21-year tenure.
GHSB is currently holding a Feed-in Approval Holder (FiAH) Certificate issued by SEDA Malaysia on March 30, 2018 for a 10MW installed capacity low-head small hydropower plant situated on Sungai Perak.
The yearly energy yield of 67,767 megawatt-hour (MWh) at a fixed price of 25 sen per kilowatt-hour (kWh) for a period of 21 years is reflected in the signed Renewable Energy Power Purchase Agreement with Tenaga Nasional Bhd.
@huat_ahh I am talking about market cap instead of paid up share. At least bkawan market cap has crossed billion threshold my friend. MARKET CAP 250m BUKA BANK? WITH PACKAGING COMPANY? ERRRRRR OK LET’S DO THIS
Aiyah... In my previous write up, I already mentioned only time can tell... Time factor
I have no intention to promote GCAP or any other stocks in this chat group. But just sharing information so that we don't listen to others about rumours, like CAP TP Is RM3!!,
Since when MBSB obtains the banking license?? There is no comparison (worth buying) between MBSB and GCAP just like we can't compare an apple and and orange.
To make the question more relevant, one must make comparison in same category like comparing MBSB and REC Cap as both have strong backing, and business models are more similar. Sorry to say that MBSB and RCE Cap are not in this talk... LOL. The next question is do all companies that have strong backing worth investing??? EPF used to be a cornerstone investor in FGV, and..............the next thing I know is that FGV is going private at RM1.3 per share.
Back to above question MBSB or GCAP (which is worth buying), to a layman point of view it is off course MBSB as it is still profitable and gives yearly dividend. But in long run, when profit from bank and RE (hydro) start to kick off then it could be another story. Again only time can tell

All the above postings are my personal opinion, I could be wrong....lol
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
