Despite the glove sector’s explosive earnings amounting to multiple years consolidated in the past year alone, the share price has been falling. Interestingly, valuation contraction has been happening in spite of earnings expansion, with many analysts downgrading the target price irrespective of the results reported. https://www.thestar.com.my/business/business-news/2021/08/07/comfort-in-consensus-or-victim-of-it

I have started to see signs of frustration among some investors! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- smyang11 Regretted holding Ruberex
Can anyone enlighten me about the current share price of Rubberex? is the share price now at pre-pandemic levels (taking into consideration of 2 for 1 Bonus issues in Oct 2020?. TQ
Rubberex's share price started to move up from around 60 sen? last year.
Now, it is 84 sen(xb, 2 for 1), which means RM 1.68(adjusted for bonus issue). ----------------------------------------------------------------------- hoplanner Can anyone enlighten me about the current share price of Rubberex? is the share price now at pre-pandemic levels (taking into consideration of 2 for 1 Bonus issues in Oct 2020?. Yes, you are right. That means my previous assumption used for price comparison with the other 2 counters was incorrect. Nobody pointed out the mistake earlier! --------------------------------------------------------------------------- neutralist John1234 its 84x3. 2 every 1. 1 unit become 3.
0.84 x 3 = 2.52. That means if I had bought it last yr at 2.52 (cum Bonus 2 for 1), I am now back to my original cost at 0.84 each, right? TqVM john1234
With yesterday's closing price of 83 sen, this is translated to a pre-bonus price of RM 2.49. This would mean that those who had bought below RM 2.49 before the bonus issue last year would still be sitting on paper gains.
haha.....a year on. what a roller coaster ride, an euphoric ride indeed when the price went sky high. One could have made a lot but if you hold it, you would definitely say, "if i knew, I would have sold all"
So, are there lessons to be learnt? Care to share?
Lessons: 1. "Bull markets are born on pessimism, grown on skepticism, mature on optimism and die on euphoria."(Quote from Sir John Templeton)
2. In investment, we must always do our homework. When market was red hot last year, we heard so many "euphoric" comments with very high TPs from forumers, IBs and even runners of the operators. Had we simply listened to them without doing our homework, we would have been taken for a free ride to Holland! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ hoplanner haha.....a year on. what a roller coaster ride, an euphoric ride indeed when the price went sky high. This has been answered earlier. Please check back my past postings. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ st0ne84 possible this year will have dividend?
I think the tech sector is very selective(eg semi-conductors) and is not euphoric yet. It is currently in the mature stage only. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- afif95 John1234 - i think this year euphoric and optimistic apply to tech?
Your suspicion seems justified as Rubberex has been weak of late. But if we look at Comfort share price as well, the latter is not doing well either and the operator seems more interested to push up the warrant price than the mother share price.
Only Careplus fares slightly better. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- hoowk77 I suspect boss is selling from PP
