If there was a grey area, it will be with regard to excessive overtime hours.
But the decision to perform overtime lies with the workers, solely on voluntary basis.
Furthermore, 60A(1A) of the Employment Act allows for hours to be exceeded under special circumstances. The inability to bring in foreign workers during the MCO will be considered as special circumstances.
60A. Hours of work (1A) The Director General may, on the written application of an employer, grant permission to the employer to enter into a contract of service with any one or more of his employees, or with any class, category or description of his employees, requiring the employee or employees, or the class, category or description of employees, as the case may be, to work in excess of the limit of hours prescribed under subsections (1) (a), (b), (c) and (d) but subject to such conditions, if any, as the Director General may deem proper to impose, if he is satisfied that there are special circumstances pertaining to the business or undertaking of the employer which renders it necessary or expedient to grant such permission:

they solve forced labour issue good thing, but dyson SUDAH LARI. short term share price wont move much. long term need a new business partner for their business to run since they say dyson is 80% of their revenue thats a big chunk
Got 3 agreement... It's true termination is final (for the old one)
What if : Renegotion = new agreement is being drafted to replaced the old one.. comprehensive agreement that include ESG and attractive profit margin/cost for both parties? How market will interpret that? :-)
Wonder why people like Andy Hall do not raise similar issues on labour in country like Bangladesh where we are sure the working conditions and salaries are not better than here. Bangladesh produce and export a lot of garments for well known international brands. This also a good lesson for our companies that before this always tend to prefer foreign labour to locals and not investing enough in high tech to replace or reduce labour requirements. If foreign labour are needed in the future, better to import from neighboring countries, not from far away places to avoid similar problems.
Dyson also exploits cheaper costs of doing biz by moving from UK by avoiding higher taxes and labour in UK and to be nearer to its cheap suppliers. Certainly Dyson can not say they really care about ESG issues but in reality only care to maximize profits. Just ask what people in UK said about Dyson moving out of UK to Asia. It certainly not that Dyson really care about its employees and obligations to pay fair taxes in moving away from UK.
human rights all just for thick skin companies, they move from western countries to asia to exploits cheap labours and tax incentives. on surface human rights is important deep down corporate profits is most important.
No volume is good. It means whales assured market is stabilized and it's time to move rein in the shark.
Short sellers is hoping price to drop below rm0.3 so they can triggered the biggest whales owner to buy back the company, thus triggering MGO. Anyhow, ikan bilis still win if buy below 0.67. shark dies.
I was thinking to buy some products from Dyson, they are overpriced but I did make some money from the stock market why not splash a bit. But now I have decided to abandon the idea completely buying Dyson products as Dyson only care to exploit cheaper costs in Asia to maximize it's own profits.
@salemt. Definitely they have an agenda. Any how these people comping from such countries like UK still have the mentality that we Asians must submit to their ways of doing things, the only right way.
the west only good at morals, human rights, animal rights, environment friendly, culture heritage. they can think of any reason and be justify right because their action is morally good.
im positive long run share price will go up, im keeping 50% of my stake long run the other 50% for day trading might as well since the stock is on fire huge volume in and out everyday
We don't think that these people do really care about all those rights mentioned. Tell them how many countries they have bombed quite recently, killing and displacing millions of innocent people, destroying their national herbage sites and then make these countries suffer economically and politically. Millions of refugees going to UK, and who creat these refugees in the first place? In the Middle East the only country that refuse to kowtow, Iran, is being punished unreasonably and so are Lebanon and Yemen to a certain extend.
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
