wow... glad that i hantam kuat kuat when it was around RM1.00.... lol... as most of you are aware of, USD for Q3 is stronger than it was in Q2 and trump's tariff on Canadian lumber + sabah log export ban.... Q3 and Q4 wil be set to go higher in terms of revenue and profit...
let's be conservative... assuming similar results (not better) for Q3 & Q4... it is about 9 sen + 9sen... so total 27-30sen for 2018... this share is worth at least RM3.00 in long run... (if u use PE valuation)...
if you use EV/EBIT = 7 (not using PE as this is more accurate)... it derives higher than RM3.00 value due to the huge cash pile...
Thing is FLumber's profits are erratic! Sometimes high like this quarter and some quarters, very low profits. Hope with ban on timber exports, profits can be maintained. If can maintain, 2.50 and above share price is not impossible. Will hold the shares!? Good and well managed company
Mkmk why you say 80c, tp, when it's close today is 1.54..high of 1.60. Must be a catastrophic event financially for share price to be 80c. Joker lar haha..
Coz mastermind aeric said it last time... he keeps saying flb will be very bad... q1 q2 very bad... no dividend... ba bla bla and then now he said he bought it d... baru ytd he said tp 1.60 but now he said to 2.50.... aeric is a real joker...
Can anyone confirm if FLBHD and other companies are still facing log supply issue? The latest QR does not specifically mention the status now. I just take another look at the QR, it does mention "sufficient logs supply in this quarter".
I have to admit I only have small lots. Current price is not expensive. Definitely a keeper.
it is normal for share price to drop after QR, even if it has a good report. The price drop may continue for a while. We just do not know. The result is very good despite its raw material cost is still quite high. Will get even better result when the cost of raw material goes down in the future.
Generally export-based furniture stocks do not go up a lot compared to other groups (e.g gloves, technology, semiconductor) which also benefit from strong US$. Hopefully there are more room to go up.
FLBHD is probably the strongest based on its most recent quarterly report.
With the 2 storms hitting North Carolina & Hong Kong, hopefully demand and price for plywood will go up. This will help Q3 & Q4 results. Like during bird-flu, demand for gloves sky-rocketed and prices went up.
