I know it would be profit but super profit or not depends on the FFB harvested. Don't forget Bplant bought a piece of land at Sabah but the production there not so good. Windfall tax: It is there since CPO price above 2,500 and 3,000. Let wait for the production figure for their estate. Bplant should invest on high yield seeds and improve on their OER during this time.
CPO current month physical price is $4,800. The Dec 21 delivery traded at the derivative market is &3,900. How the hell the analysts still think average CPO price for 2021 remain $2,800 -$2,900 ? They are in denial mode !
Palm oil is a wrong agricultural product. It is the number one enemy to environment. Continuous air pollution from open burning in plantation and forest fires elsewhere brought the pandemic to teach us a lesson.
ENEMY NUMBER ONE to TO ENVIRONMENT ============ HUMANS ( Animals are MUCH more Environment Friendly ) ......... So ... Remove HUMANS from This World ???
Dickyme...... Do read up on BEEF production in South America countries ( Millions of Acres cleared so that Cattle can be Reared for US consumption ). Same goes to New Zealand and Australia. Plus cows produces LOTS of Methane Gas which caused Global Warming.
Palmoil is 7 times more efficient than soya bean loh!
Just imagine without palmoil....u need 7 times more the size of palmoil estates, to produce equivalent volume of soya bean oil to replace palm oil, that means u are damaging 700% more of the environment mah!

Yippy, yes but actually i kinda like Parkinson, coz each time this character talks, it either push bplant up or stop bplant downturn, yday soy futures drop, once Parkinson start talking, soy go up…
@DLLKT - an interesting number for item no. 8, mind to share how/where you got this number? By taking the actual production ffb volume for Q1'21, I calculated the revenue should be around 190-200mil, which is still 15% lower vs previous Q4'20 @227mil. Q2-Q3'21 (months with high ffb production) would be interesting for Bplant if the CPO prices is sustainable, shortage of labour as mentioned in its latest QR is something that worth to find out. Any idea, anyone?
@DLLKT : Question no 4 I don't think NTA should be good indicator to evaluate a plantation company. I can have lots bearer plants which boost up my asset. Question no 7 How i can corroborate this BP ?
@tang khangseng : Good discussion point. There is still alternative to shortage labour which is more automation on collection of fruits. For ex: They can have excavator to collect the fruits. Hence, no need so many mandur/ fruit collector. Maybe have drone to spread fertilisers. Maybe they can install self watering system. To be honest, they don't really need to many labor at mill and most of labor needed at estate.
