Company also demonstrates new integrated circuit solutions with manufacturing partner, Dialog Semiconductor
LAS VEGAS, NV -- (Marketwired) -- 01/08/18 -- Energous Corporation (NASDAQ: WATT), the developer of WattUp®, a revolutionary wire-free, power-at-a-distance charging technology, today announced that consumers can now pre-order WattUp-enabled products with Myant SKIIN smart everyday apparel, the first truly digital second skin, that allows users to measure and track their health vitals. In addition, Energous is demonstrating WattUp technology usage in hearing aids from Delight and SK Telesys.
SKIIN products, which enable users to accurately measure and track key health vitals, will be sold with the WattUp receiver technology embedded into the smart sensor and a WattUp Near Field transmitter in-box, making it easy for consumers to remove and charge the embedded sensor wirelessly. The WattUp receiver technology inside the sensors will also support charging at-a-distance from future WattUp Mid Field and Far Field transmitters-- the only wireless charging technology today that can make this claim.
"We are paving the way for Wireless Charging 2.0, the next-generation wireless charging ecosystem where consumers can charge their devices both at contact and at-a-distance," said Stephen R. Rizzone, president and CEO of Energous. "At CES, we will be showcasing the first fully commercialized, WattUp enabled Near Field products to be made available to consumers in the coming months. Also on display will be the unique WattUp ecosystem featuring the full spectrum of charging capabilities from fast-charging Near Field, to the recently FCC-certified, true at-a-distance, wireless charging. The state of wireless charging in 2018 looks incredibly bright for consumers, with Energous leading the way."
"We created a transformational ambient interface through our SKIIN products. They provide bi-directional access to the human body for the purpose of connecting us to our loved ones and ourselves through IoT," said Tony Chahine, CEO and Founder of Myant. "It is important to me that advancements in innovation reach everyone, including the elderly, the sick and children. The seemingly simple action of plugging, unplugging and manually charging could alone be the very thing that will inhibit a user from benefiting from technology. This why we chose to integrate the Energous' WattUp wireless charging."
Energous and Dialog Unveil New Industry-First Integrated Circuit (IC) Solutions Energous and chipset manufacturing partner, Dialog Semiconductor, are also announcing and showcasing new WattUp chipsets at CES 2018 that will bring WattUp Mid Field wireless charging to partners and the market as a whole. The two have already successfully launched and delivered to customers the world's first WattUp wireless power transmitter System-on-Chip (SoC), DA4100, alongside the first WattUp RF-to-DC receiver ICs, DA2200 and DA2210. These chips not only enable RF-based, Near Field wireless charging, but are also fundamental to the now certified WattUp Mid Field power-at-a-distance wireless charging system.
As a result, Dialog is accelerating the next phase in WattUp chipset qualification by adding new industry-first critical Beamforming IC, DA1210 and the Power Amplifier (PA) IC. Energous has also updated the fully integrated Transmitter IC, DA4100,and the DA2210 to support the 900MHz frequency band, which together complete the WattUp Near Field and the recently FCC-certified power-at-a-distance WattUp Mid Field wireless charging systems.
Additionally, Energous will be demonstrating a new hearing aid design from Delight and SK Telesys, showcasing the ability to charge hearing aids simply by placing them on a charging pad. The product from Delight is expected to be available in summer 2018 in Asia and the second half of 2018 in the U.S.
Energous will be taking private meetings and demos at the Venetian, alongside Dialog, on an appointment-only basis, at CES 2018, the world's largest consumer electronics show, January 9-12 in Las Vegas, NV.
Myant's WattUp-enabled SKIIN products are now available via presale on http://www.skiin.com/ and the products will be on demo at the Myant booth (#45343 Sands Expo) at CES 2018.

Market Opportunity
WATT’s greatest market opportunity lies in creating a ubiquitous ecosystem for wire-free charging at a distance, in much the same way as the Wi-Fi ecosystem has developed. The goal is to ensure interoperability between transmitters and receivers that are based on their technology, regardless of who made them, installed them into finished goods, or marketed them. The implementation of previous ubiquitous solutions such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth helps to illustrate WATT’s goal.
WATT identifies their initial target markets within these two hardware categories: Transmitter Target Markets and Receiver Target Markets. WATT’s transmitter technology will be developed and released to the consumer in three basic categories: stand-alone transmitters that are either sold independently or bundled as part of a pairing with a WattUp-enabled receiver device; transmitters that are integrated into third party devices like televisions, computer monitor bezels, sound bars, refrigerator doors, etc.; and transmitters that are integrated with Wi-Fi routers to form a single device that provides both connectivity and wire-free power. There are a wide variety of potential uses for their receiver technology, including: Smartphones, Hearing aids, IOT devices, Wearables, Tablets, Mice, Gaming consoles and controllers, Keyboards, e-book readers, Remote controls, Sensors (such as thermostats), Toys, Rechargeable batteries, Rechargeable lights, Automotive accessories, Personal care products (such as toothbrushes or shavers), Retail inventory management (such as RFID tags), Hand-held industrial devices (such as scanners or keypads) and Medical devices.

THERE IS A SIGNIFICANT GROWTH OPPURTUNITY AS ENERGOUS TRANSITIONS FROM TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT TO PRODUCTION WITH THEIR PARTNERS, AND AEMULUS WAS ONE OF THEM.
They already bought a piece of land in Penang building new factory and now they buy another new factory in Petaling Jaya to support new business. Then businesses must be good.
SHquah.. i think you missunderstanding aemulus business.. let me give you a clear picture about aemulus is doing. Actually aemulus is a factory which testing IC,Chips,FPGA or power Amp component. the task for aemulus is to testing and make sure it ok to use. the process in manufacturing is aemulus received ic/component from vendor and testing it, from here aemulus must make sure that the compoent meet specification that customer needed . Aemulus using 2 type of tester amb4600 and amb7600 which they will program the tester to testing the component. IF customer like energous, they will provide Power amp IC, intergated transmitter IC, DA4100,and the DA2210.
hin Im working in a Semiconductor factory in Penang and we are testing our own ICs.Aemulus is not testing or producing any chip on their own. They are selling testers to companies like us to test ICs. We dealt with them before, and most big tester producers are US based and Aemulus is the only asian company that produces Testers to be sold worldwide. Such a big achievement from a Penang based company
Lee Yih Yeong.....If they going to buy one new factory at petaling jaya for support new business. Meaning they expect more contracts in near future and they require bigger manufacturing space.
The recent strengthen in ringgit might hurt the company earning, 60 percent of revenue derived from oversea operation, a 10 percent increase in ringgit against usd will affect the group earning by around 1m per annum, assume revenue stay constant.
Aemulus Annual report..... Stepping into FYE2018, we do foresee forex risk and competition risk in our business at our doorstep. In fact, 77% of our revenues in FYE2017 was exposed to USD currency fluctuation, and this risk shall persist in FYE2018. Currently, we manage this risk through forex forward contracts. Besides that, the risk is also mitigated through natural hedge between sales and purchases in USD.
