Let's analyze Solarvest price movement since before the ex-date,
Actual fact, one would still have made profit if the purchase was made before
it went ex for free warrants.

The mistake was buying after it went ex after the entitlements. For me I bought very early
when Solarvest first announced the bonus issue proposal and sold the mother and warrants shares after the listing of the warrants.

Assuming bought 4000 shares @ 2.73 on 19/02/21 (last done price before ex-date for warrant)

19/02/21 4000 @ 2.73 (End of day price) = RM 10,920
Starting with cost of RM 10,920
Prices keep getting lower and lower after listing of warrants

Scenario #1 sold both Solarvest & Solarvest-WA
on the listing day of warrants 19/02/21 :

2.59 x 4000 = RM 10,360
1.51 x 1000 = RM 1,510
Total = RM 11,870


Scenario #2 sold both Solarvest & Solarvest-WA
on last day BEFORE bonus issue 19/03/21 :

2.53 x 4000 = RM 10,120
1.53 x 1000 = RM 1,530
Total = RM 11,650


Scenario #3 sold both Solarvest & Solarvest-WA
today after ex-all for Bonus Issue :

1.59 x 6000 = RM 9,540
0.99 x 1500 = RM 1,485
Total = RM 11,025

Cannot afford to hold good stock, don’t buy. If buy after ex date then buy less, manage risk, watch trend, pickup if losing and just watch TV until it goes past your buy price. If no patience and depending on your cashflow, don’t invest/trade the stock market. Go buy a RM50k low-cost flat somewhere (or many RM50k low cost flats.... location, location, location); you own property and just do the same thing ie. Watch TV

There are many types of investor . Those that lose their pants off have 1 thing in common: there is no cut loss in their vocabulary. Take the case of Top Glove and Supermax. Are they good stocks? Of course they are, every quarter churning out billions of profit and the former giving 70% dividend. Those that hold and hold Since ex bonus can only hope for another pandemic to recover their cost

haiya this counter so easy, will drop more to 1.495, then rebound, if broken that level, already GG, take out your money first( if you already bought on top hill), wait for selling climax(if happen). Then buy back the share(if you have strong belief in this counter). So easy, wait for 3 months to TP, the cycle repeat.

Rider, one man"s trash is another man's treasure. It's all about timing.
Back in September and October last year there were only a few of us posting on Solarvest and commenting about the mid and long term potential of the company, price then was in the 1.20 to 1.25 range.
My thoughts at the time were that Solarvest was a growth company operating in an early stage growth sector. Nothing has changed in that opinion.

As for you calling it trash, all I can state are the facts. Since buying in the low 1.20's less that 6 months ago, the company has:

A) Share price increases of 100%+.
B) Paid shareholders a dividend.
C) Issued free Warrants = FREE money.

Current price weakness (of sorts) is due to:

A) Issue of Bonus shares
B) A soft and directionless overall market.
C) Selling by some of their Bonus shares
D) Stop loss sales.

I wouldn't be too hasty to write off Solarvest so eagerly. The song remains the same, a growth stock in a growth sector. As long as the company is managed well I can still see a very bright future. On current performance they seem to have a well thought out long term plan.

I really pity those who dumb dumb hold. You Must set a cut loss and cut win point to preserve your capital. Never ever fall in love with your stock. I have switched half my fund to Maybank waiting for dividend.Soon all will be in Maybank and I shall call it quit in share speculation and enjoy my retirement

@TreeTopView ,spot on. I totally agree with you. I still holding on to my Slvest. It still has plenty of room to grow as every country is going for green energy , especially solar power. Hope it will transfer to main board soon then more funds can come in to buy.

I have started accumulating during the period August 2020 till Oct 2020 and still happily holding. Though sometimes it hurts to see the price plunging but I prefer to hold on. You read the news, the announcements, the corporate exercises, you know there is substance in the company. Cheers & continue to hold lah....
