Well, if you into oil stocks, perhaps now is the time! There's no shortage of oil! Just that Saudi Russia are terrorizing the world by cutting oil producing!
Electrification of vehicles are actually better than predicted! EVs are selling like hot cakes nowadays! Even in Malaysia, Tesla can't keep up with demands! Except China brands unable to counter Tesla pricing! BYD is still pricy compare to Tesla! In fact BYD Dolphin which can be sold at 80k is selling at 100k in Malaysia!
But wait for few years and we may see Proton Geely flooding Malaysia with EVs! Geely is already producing some mind blowing EVs, just not as mass produce like BYD or Tesla! But that will soon change as Geely will produce in Malaysia soon!

Russia Saudi know that their days are numbered! EVs adoption are fast! So they will use whatever necessary to ensure higher for longer price of oil!
The truth is, we don't really consump much oil compare to our neighboring countries! And our fuel heavily subsided should not impact inflation that much!
However, for the rest of the world, where fuel are not sub sized, this will be a problem!
US and EU will be hit with higher inflation for sure! And Saudi Russia strategy will of course hit US as higher interest rate will be imposed sooner or later!
Basically, what we see now is just that! Russia Saudi wanting higher for longer oil price! Maximizing as much profit from oil!

Actually US has the capability to produce enough oil for it's own domestic needs! Then again, you have those Democrats not knowing what to do! Trump would have pump as much oil as possible! But hey, i guess common sense is a rare thingy nowadays!
