JAKS RESOURCES BERHAD ("JAKS" OR "COMPANY") PROPOSED PRIVATE PLACEMENT OF UP TO 10% OF THE TOTAL NUMBER OF ISSUED SHARES IN JAKS ("PRIVATE PLACEMENT")
Unless otherwise defined, the definitions set out in the announcement dated 1 March 2024, the additional announcement dated 14 March 2024, the additional announcement dated 20 March 2024, the additional announcement dated 27 March 2024 and the announcement dated 3 May 2024 shall apply herein.



On behalf of the Board, M&A Securities is pleased to announce that the Company has on 12 June 2024 fixed the issue price of the second tranche of the Placement Shares at RM0.1450 per Placement Share to be issued pursuant to the Private Placement (“Price-Fixing Date”).



The aforementioned issue price of RM0.1450 per Placement Share represents a discount of approximately RM0.0160 or 9.94% from the 5D-VWAMP of JAKS Shares from 5 June 2024 to 11 June 2024, being the market day immediately preceding to the Price-Fixing Date of approximately RM0.1610 per JAKS Share.

吉隆坡4日讯）东洋创投（TOYOVEN，7173，主板工业股）确认遭到越南政府终止Song Hau 2电力项目计划，并将寻求法律建议，以采取适当行动和补救措施。


在该公司公布此前，该股今早即已大跌，最大跌幅达到25%，之后全天在低位徘徊，闭市时跌了32仙或23.19%，报在1.06令吉；全天成交量975万2100股。


东洋创投今日闭市后向马交所公告称，越南工业和贸易部志期7月1日的信函指出，发出的终止意向通知90天期限已过，但集团旗下子公司未有补救该项目的财务安排，因此终止了该发电厂的合同。
“目前公司正在评估该通知的影响，并将寻求法律建议，以根据合约条款探讨适当的行动和补救措施。”

外媒早些时候已经报道称越南工业和贸易部于今年4月1日发文件通知，上述电力项目违反了开发商的规定，因此打算终止有关合约。

东洋创投是在去年3月1日，正式接得上述有关合约，并负责在越南执行该电力项目工程，当时的合约价值达24.2亿美元（约98.4亿令吉）。
