Value investing? what is that?
There is such a thing call investing. No such thing call value investing. Value changes all the time. Value is like fashion, it may come back, it may never come back. U buy a share now, in future, a bull market comes and u make money. or u buy a share now, a bear market comes and u lose money. U are subject to a lots of factors and variable, most of which are beyond your control, maybe even not knowable.
Value investing? value investing is just a marketing term. A wet blanket to comfort those who need comforting. An approved term, a term approved by society by the regulators before u invest.
So, what is value investing if the share keeps going down after u buy? U think u know more about the company/ share than the sellers meh? U think u are smarter meh? Is that arrogance or what? Or just plain stubbornness? U will never know....until it is too late No one considers himself stupid, everyone considers himself smarter than the next guy. And especially if u are rich old man, u probably consider u have found the secret to success. The secret to money ..........every rich old man suffers from same disease.
Value? anyone knows what is value meh? Everyday, there is market price. Now, that is the value as of today, the present. The future? who knows? Maybe the sellers are right, maybe the sellers are wrong. Its your value vs the value of others.
Now, I say there is no such thing as value investing. There is such a thing call investing. Investing means u hope , according to your assessment, the company do well in future , after u buy the share. Value? who knows what is value? Its just some thing investment bankers invent to sell you products.
Value investing? Value investing opportunities happen occasionally but rarely. Out of the 1000 shares in Bursa, on a typical day which ones represents value investing and can make u money? All the 1000 shares got buyers and sellers, got market prices. That is the value. Some shares are hardly ever traded . That is because buyers don't want to buy already and sellers don't want to sell already. Is such a stand off call value investing?
Value investing? That is only a wet blanket. Invented by investment bankers.
I tell you what is a useful definition of value investing. You buy a share and later it goes above your cost. That is value investing. f it goes below your cost, then its call a mistake, not value investing.
Better to know what u are doing instead of just be an obedient boy according to society.

Uncensored don't be too critical, at least qqq3 wrote original piece from his thought. Unlike others copy and paste base on provocative headline without even checking the source nor reading it.
