I think your view is focused from the angle of Chinese needs.

The major argument for PH support is that we have to first have a less corrupted government before anything else.

He may not be a modern Malay who may be even more racist than Ahjib/ present BN/UMNO......but we cannot compromise on corruption of this level.

The damage is even more significant if compromise on the latter.

I am 100% more confident that Dr.M kids like Mukhrizr and Marina are less racist than any of the malay rakyat in Malaysia.

I have personally met Mukhriz and read countless articles my Marina Mahathir (you will not find people with such modern thinking).

Marina Mahathir is not Mahathir, Marina has been true to herself and I have been respecting Marina for what she has been doing even so long before Mahathir was still PM.

Mukhriz is not Mahathir too.

@KLCI King

agree with gohkimhock that you sound just like another MCA/Gerakan masquerading as DAP supporter. But i could be wrong,so i assume you are really what you say you are.
surprised that you say,' after all these years,Penang is getting more floods and all you get from Selangor is a TUNG SAMPAH'
Dont you know that people of Penang are v.happy with the state government's efforts despite BN Federal govt. cut off financial assistance to the state, to resolve the flood issue ? BN govt supposedly budget rm1 billion to solve the flood issue but the money was not given to the state, which has limited financial options, under the Constitution. Penang people are being blackmail to support the BN , then only will Federal funds be given to Penang. If you are a strong supporter of DAP, you would know this. The recurring floods are not the state govt. responsiblity, it is the FEDERAL govt, that's why you must support PH , to change this useless, BN !

Selangor is under PKR and as a malay majority state, the sentiments n needs of the malays have to be handled well to show that state govt does not neglect them, and give preference to Chinese. Dont you know this is always the hypocrite BN weapon to attack PH ? (lim Kit Siang will be PM if PH wins, etc etc).
it is very telling that you say ' you dont see much changes done in Penang after DAP come to power'.do the people of Penang agree with you ?

Pls spend a few moments and listen to youtube ceramahs of Hannah Yeoh, yeoh Bee Yin,Nga Kor Ming, etc etc to know what DAP has done for the struggle to bring change for the people of Penang,Selangor and hopefully, Malaysia

Easy to sit at home comfortably and start shooting arrows and throw bricks at what is wrong with our PH leaders.

The PH leaders like LKS,LGE, Anwar & Family, Mat Sabu etc etc , have all suffered greatly first-hand for their fight for a better Malaysia for all.

They decide to make peace and work with Tun M, as he agree to abide by the rule of law and PH's principles /visions.
Pls give our PH leaders full support as they are in the frontline and know the issues, risks n opportunities.

We are going for broke this time and need every Malaysian to join in.

This is our only option to overturn this 60 yr old monster BN and give Malaysia a chance to recover from the long yrs of corruption by BN.

To KLCI King, VWWONG and other sifus who know all the answers, may i humbly ask you to show you sincerity and turn padang to attend any PH ceramahs. Find out what is happening on the grounds. at least listen to youtube /Facebook live streaming, thank you.

I agree with KLCI King. Seems like PH's solution is to replace one corrupted leader with the grandfather of corruption. They're desperate to win at any cost, even with going into a partnership with the devil himself. I'll just skip GE14 and hope for better choices in GE15.

Dear all,
Hope below will answers some of your questions why Tun Dr. Mahathir?
Refer:
https://klse.i3investor.com/blogs/Sslee_blog/155784.jsp
Title: GE14: 1999.99 is not less than 2000?? : 26-9=15???
For those afraid of change due to various kinds of fears and racist propaganda stoked by BN of another 13 May 1969 racial riot, please read the below link: Why Tun Dr. Mahathir?
https://aliran.com/aliran-csi/why-dr-mahathir/
Mahathir solves Pakatan’s lack of credible leader at the centre
The Opposition’s campaign to take over Putrajaya in the 2008 and 2013 general elections had been handicapped not only by the ‘zero-experience-in-governing’ factor, but by the popular impression that it had no credible leader acceptable to all races and religions to become prime minister.
Mahathir attracts Malay support from traditional Umno constituents
Another factor explaining Why Dr Mahathir? is because he would be able to assist Pakatan Harapan in reaching out to specific Malay groups, hitherto considered as part of Umno’s traditional supporters. Evidently, many former civil servants and veterans who previously served in the police and military, as exemplified by the Persatuan Patriot Kebangsaan, have rallied behind the Opposition as never before. This is due to the Mahathir pull factor.
Uncertainties after polls? (Mahathir provide stability after polls.)
There is a final reason why Mahathir’s leadership of the Opposition might prove critical. Malaysia has never experienced a change of government at the centre. How might the security forces and police react upon defeat of Umno-BN and Najib? More than any other leader, Mahathir will have the wherewithal to persuade the security forces to remain within the barracks. Already, he has reminded the military and police top brass that their loyalty is to the king and country, not to the prime minister and the Umno-BN government of the day.
Conclusion
There is a clear choice between Umno-BN and Pakatan Harapan.
Various kinds of fears and racist propaganda have been stoked to undermine the call for change. With Mahathir as Pakatan’s candidate for seventh prime minister, many of these claims ring hollow. With his ability to tap into Umno’s traditional sources of support, like the veterans, retired civil servant and Felda settlers, more Malays, not just non-Malays and urban-based educated Malays, will push for change. With Mahathir in charge, the takeover of Putrajaya by a new government, which is unprecedented, promises to be smoother.

For whom still living/dwell in unforgiving and sorrow past. Perhaps the below link will be of some helps:
http://chedet.cc/?p=2855#comment-141109
In fact, there is an important lesson here for the young, as well as others who have suffered at the hands of Mahathir. Are we able to open our hearts and be magnanimous – like Anwar, Wan Azizah and Nurul Izzah – to set aside the past, in order to move forward together, for the sake of the country we all love.

For whom accused PH supporters of our persistence, un-waving and un-tiring efforts of getting Malaysians to vote for PH as “Can’t accept different views and My WAY is the only right way.” Perhaps below link will be of some helps in understanding us:
http://chedet.cc/?p=2777#comment-140573
By now all right-minded Malaysians knew that the GE13 was stolen from us by the corrupt money from MO1. Tun had pre-warned “HOW NAJIB PLANS TO WIN”
http://chedet.cc/?p=2555
http://chedet.cc/?p=2549
http://chedet.cc/?p=2522
It is my understanding that this time around our chance of winning will be very much tougher because by hook and most certainly by crook MO1 must win. Hence every one of us needs to stand behind Tun and unite as one to vote out the corrupted MO1 and his decadent, Kleptocratic Government. Every vote counts and every vote does matter, so! I beg you all true Malaysian to please turn out and cast your vote; else GE14 will be stolen from us yet again.
Our motto: “It is either NOW or NEVER.”Another 5 years under MO1 will be too late to save our beloved Malaysia!
Thank you

Dear all,

http://www.malaysianbar.org.my/echoes_of_the_past/tun_dr_mahathir_mohamad_1981_2003_father_of_modernisation.html?date=2016-04-01
But for a man who actually changed time, nothing was impossible for Dr M, and Malaysians owe him a great deal for putting our tiny dot of a nation on the world map. It was his persistence that helped propel the country to become among the fastest developing nations. He earned the nickname Bapa Wawasan (Father of Vision), an allusion to his vision of making Malaysia a developed nation by 2020. “Dr M demanded a lot from others but much more of himself. Failure was not an option,” says a former aide. His dressing down of the Malays for being dependent on “crutches” and not being competitive enough in an era of globalisation was an annual tirade at Umno general assemblies.
True, he did things his way, making unpopular decisions without any apologies, but critics eventually agreed his decisions were right

Tun Dr. Mahathir extolled the virtues of hard-work and nothing is impossible if you put your heart and soul into it. He lead by example and for 22 years did not imposed GST or given BR1M handout and yet able to manage Malaysia economy quite well and Malaysians have a reasonable comfortable life. In less than 10 years of MO1 our national debt is now MYR 638,155,043,000 and counting. And many people had to hold multiple jobs just to earn enough income to provide for basic needs.
https://www.nationaldebtclocks.org/debtclock/malaysia

Dear UMNO members,
Just take a reality check; is UMNO today the same UMNO under Tun Dr, Mahathir? Are you still feeling proud to be identified as UMNO member?
https://www.malaysiakini.com/columns/405079
I miss the old Umno general assembly. As much as the new premier tries his very best to paint himself as the saviour of the country, I honestly cannot even make myself watch his entire speech without cringing. And if Umno does rule Malaysia for another 1,000 years as stated by Najib, I do hope that at least the Almighty would bless us with someone who has at least half of Mahathir’s persona.

Moral: The Malays do NOT need Umno-Baru, because Umno-Baru destroys Malays and Islam.

On 9th May 2018 GE14, Malaysians will decide. My hope is that we will see a new dawn and the beginning of new era of reform, rebuild and set our beloved Malaysia on a course towards unity, justice and prosperity.
Thank you.

If you still support BN, they will be no formidible opposition in GE15. BN will crush opposition after GE14 and they will play the same trick over and over again....and you be sucker.

To rebuild nation will take time, steps by steps...there are so many differences to address, we need to learn from each other, we need to build trust. We need to set our priorities right.

I give you example, during our early stages of our career...do we get all our wishes list...our dream jobs....no right? But we grab whatever available opportunity first and then ..we move on to improve ourself.

They will never an ideal situations, good timing....just like investing.

Anwar, LKS and others knew about this and they being practical and adapting to situation.

First and foremost we need to put a morale leader and govt to lead us, if this simple value are not there....we can forget dream big dream.

So we must Ubah now!

SSlee,
Apparently you have not read one of mahathir's book. Also one of Nor yakcop. Inside, you will find out how Nor Yakcop said he have to go to great lengths just to teach the premier pasal bid/sell. Yes, the PM don't know nuts about this. So he caused the financial crisis, and he also made it worse. Just look at Najib, so cool and calm, composed. See how he handle our currency crisis, now ringgit is back up. Not like Mahathir, semua org salah.

You are a fool because you are not familiar with him. Who in Malaysia fly private jet to submit nomination papers?

Now on the 2.6bil. Didn't i asked you to read the DOJ document, which showed that no such money was taken?? You should check lah, in Point 345.

This 2.6b is just drama.

Posted by GoodCompanies > 2018-05-07 09:56 | Report Abuse

laughed my heart out when i heard Mahathir want to go visit Nik Aziz pusara. Maybe he suddenly remember about death, and wanting to be buried next to N. Aziz? Who knows. But what i do know, he created such a drama, calling media to join, just to show off. What a guy, willing to show off this way.
And this is the guy who want to save us?
And he still want to build jambatan bengkok? Don't any of you read why jambatan bengkok cannot be built? Legality of it is wrong. But Madey do not know about this, just plain arrogant.

Posted by GoodCompanies > 2018-05-07 10:00 | Report Abuse

And since GST will be replaced, so means your income tax will double. Can you stomach that? Because GST now is being paid by 100% of the people, but income tax is only on 10% or less. It is very regressive, even GST is not.
Also 40% tax on your inheritance, when you die. Read what Nurul Izzah said about it. Also give subsidies to the illegal imigrants, millions of them. First give subsidy on petrol, which all this illegals enjoys. Next, give this and that. You pay for it, not the foreigners.
In the end, i can feel that you all will lose big time. Don't be emotional about a person's personality, you all must choose the policies promised. Trump have bad personalities, but his policies are good for businesses.

SSlee,
You are clueless on Malaysia's debt position.
Harping on debt is so stupid of you. Can i ask you, if you have a housing debt of 700,000, and only 50,000 in cash, you are a bankrupt? You increased your debt by so big amount in short time?
Najib's policies were very good for the country's finances. Madey not. Remember capital control? He dismantled it? Madey? No way.
Do you know Malaysia's asset is how much? I give you a clue, it is almost 4,000 billion.
