In 1999, China needed Taiwan, Japan and Korea for their transfer of technologies in IT and hardware......TODAY, TAIWAN NEEDS CHINA MORE THAN CHINA NEEDS TAIWAN.....

In war having more assets just means more target practise for US combatants if those assets are technologically inferior.
The quality of technology is more important.
