@kfbusjd Already knew earlier this morning. That's a WARNING to the manufacturing and construction sectors. They contribute to most of the numbers. They don't treat their workers fairly. Their living conditions are not in compliance with the SOP. Txp Glove is one of them. Therefore, they will have to stop operation IF THEY DON'T LISTEN AND TAKE ACTION.

Currently we are PCR testing 70k / day. MOH wants to double that. Massive testings is a short term pain. Numbers will go up. But that is the surest way to bar Covid-19 from the community spread. The faster we are out of the Covid-19 spread, the sooner our economy back on track!!

PETALING JAYA: Not all credit cards are the same.

Maybank has clarified that its Islamic credit cards cannot be used to purchase non-shariah compliant products like liquor.

A Maybank spokesman told FMT they had to follow official regulatory guidelines set out on this.

It said the terms for the use of its Islamic credit cards were clearly specified when they were issued to a person.

Personal view: I guess quite impossible to break MCO 1.0 lowest price (around RM7.60-7.80). I'm waiting at 7.80 to 7.90 :-)

Once upon a time, a rich man from the city arrived in a village. He announced to the villagers that he would buy Monkeys for 100 each.

The villagers were very happy, after all there were hundreds of Monkeys in a nearby forest.

They caught the Monkeys and got them to the rich man. He bought hundreds of Monkeys and paid 100 for every Monkey the villagers gave him.

They began to make a living out of getting Monkeys from the forest and selling it to the rich man.

Soon, the forest began to run out of monkeys that were easy to catch.

Sensing this, the rich man offers 200 for every monkey. The villagers were ecstatic.

They went back to the forest, set up traps and caught the monkeys and got them to the rich man.

A few days later, the rich man announced he would pay 300 per monkey.

The villagers began climbing trees and risking their lives to catch monkeys and get them to the rich man – who bought them all.

There were no Monkeys left in the forest!

One day, the rich man announced he would like to buy more monkeys – this time for 800 each.

The villagers couldn’t believe this. They were desperately trying to get more monkeys.

Meanwhile, the rich man said he had to go back to the city on some business work and until he returns his manager would deal on his behalf.

Once he left, the villagers were unhappy. They were making quick and easy money from selling monkeys, but the forest no longer had monkeys.

This is when the manager of the rich man stepped in.

He made an offer the villagers could not refuse.

Pointing out to all the monkeys that the rich man had caged. He told the villagers he would sell the monkeys for 400 each.

“Sell them back to the rich man at 800 each when he comes back” the manager said.

The villagers were over the moon. Buy for 400 and sell for 800 in few days. They had just found the easiest way to double their money.

The villagers collected all their savings and even borrowed money.

There were long queues and within a few hours, almost all the monkeys were sold out.

Unfortunately, their happiness did not last long, as the manager went missing the next day and the rich man never came back.

Many villagers kept the monkeys with them, hoping the rich man would come back. But soon, they lost hope and had to let the monkeys back into the forest as feeding and taking care of the noisy monkeys became extremely difficult.

Good Luck!

Dr Noor Hisham sees glimmer of hope as Malaysia’s new Covid-19 cases dip to 3,048

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 25 — Malaysia added another 3,048 more Covid-19 infections on the eve of the original expiry
of the renewed movement control order, prompting Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah to say the country’s situation could stabilise soon.
The Health director-general said the basic reproduction number (R0) of Covid-19 infections was already showing signs of decline,
adding that it should soon be as low as 1.06.
Today’s new cases were the lowest across the last 10 days in which the country also saw its highest ever new daily cases.

PUTRAJAYA: The Health Ministry has hinted that the current movement control order (MCO) will end, followed by three months of conditional MCO.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the government is not keen to implement the MCO for a long period due to the livelihoods it could affect.
“We do not want to prolong the MCO.
“If we implement the MCO for four weeks until early February, and then followed by a conditional MCO for three months, we hope we can reduce the number of Covid-19 cases to double figures,” said Dr Noor Hisham at a virtual press conference on Monday (Jan 25).
He said the current R0 (infectivity rate, pronounced R-naught) has gone down from 1.2 to 1.06, indicating that Covid-19 cases may be getting less.
“Today the number of cases is 3,048, which is less than yesterday (3,346 cases on Sunday).
“We hope the cases can stabilise at 3,000. Right now, the R0 has gone down from 1.2 to 1.06. But this is not enough.
“Tomorrow, it could be less than 1.06. Better if it is less than 1.
“So we are hoping in the first two weeks of the MCO, the number of cases is stable, and no increases.
“And then, after Jan 27, we expect to see the number of cases go down, ” said Dr Noor Hisham.
He said a prolonged MCO will be detrimental to the economy.
“If we prolong the MCO, our economy could be affected. We need to balance health and economy, as well as life and livelihood,” he added.
The MCO was first imposed from Jan 13 in several states and the Federal Territories for a period of two weeks, and was initially supposed to end on Jan 26. It was then extended to all states and the Federal Territories, except Sarawak, and will last until Feb 4.
