I know left hand right hand... pakat pakat... interchange for volume and price control...so those gov entity who own less than 5% participate on and off, only those substantial will report , non substantial wont report...

tolle: I think so also....pakat pakat to ensure low DRP price...because they know management very kiamsiap, gives low discount so they ensure that they get best price...

Acutually, discount for DRP can go up to 10%....

Some invested sectors are negative and stuck.. so i am trying to rebalance to get better ROI with diversity.

If eveybody smart , then nobody can make money!! So i decided to just follow sifu stkoay.. and add more of MBB whenever i see MBB price matches my range.. as usual 20:80. waiting for price adjustment and also some disposal in Oct....hopefully ...

Thanks for ur insights/advise/views or else I would not added some MBB at 8.01...so i guess u bring luck... Thanks sifu.

We don't know what will be on 21-9-21....how to predict opening... haha...

My prediction on closing was based on the price movement during DRP 20....from announcement date till ex date, the price increase by 39 sen, which is the full dividend amount.

For those who want to buy, I guess it's better to buy now than after X dividend.

@jeffchan1901…tenaga 22sen ex-date is on 29/9 while maybank 22/9…u might loss tenaga 22sen div, unless exit maybank after exdate for discounted drp shares and re-enter tenaga after 22/9

MBB fair value usually set at PE 12x…current rolling 12-mth EPS is 67.09sen…at PE 12x, the fair price should be RM8.05 after ex-date…before ex-date 8.05 0.28= 8.33..(i did not consider dilution after drp)

@stkoay yes bro, you are right... might even be higher than 8.00 as queue orders for the day before opening as every one wants to grab it cheap.

@linges took that into account too. just sold my Tenaga at 10.28 and the net dividend loss after deducting trade profit is only ard RM390.00 (after brokerage) but the free up cash will allow me to 1) either enter MBB below 8.00 if possible or 2) explore buy back of Tenaga when it most probably fall below 10.00 after dividend to dollar cost my Tenaga which is about 10.05 now. Reason for consolidating is because MBB dividend is quite consistent for last couple of years around 50 sens region and while Tenaga fluctuates. Also the LHDN case against Tenaga is in the horizon. so yeh, the advantages to sell part Tenaga portfolio out weights the disadvantages at least for my case.

@linges no choice bro, guess like the rest of us here, investing for retirement.. so need to ensure dividend payout is attractive. need our equities to work for us when we cant. before the sudden surge in Tenaga during the last Quadruple Witching Day on 18 June, I missed the window to sell at 10.45.

On this note, becareful dont get trapped in high Maybank price as the next Quadruple Witching Day is next week 17 Sept. any correction will be the following Monday 20 Sept.

@choysun Yeah but I think a lot is happening over at TnB now and my average is relatively high where my stock portfolio exposure to Tenaga was around 68%, just taking the chance to realized some gain and have available cash standby for next round of re calibrating my portfolio to dollar cost average

In a report today, the credit rating agency said most of the repayment assistance scheme's applicants could have sufficient financial capacity to repay their debt when the programme ended.

"We expect most of the loans under repayment assistance will remain performing when the six-month measure expires,"it said.

"At AMMB Holdings Bhd, Malayan Banking Bhd and RHB Bank Bhd, households whose income are at the top 20 per cent of the population account for more than half of retail loans under the scheme."

@stkoay would like to ask your advise on the DRP.

Example (for simplicity let's say): if I have 100 lots MBB worth RM80K and DRP I get only 500 shares @ RM7.00 would my portfolio show:

1.) 105 lots value at RM80,000 (i.e. free 5 lots added - remain at RM8/share), or
2.) 105 lots value at RM83,750 (i.e. RM7.976/share),

@jeffchan....for simple calculation, if your current average price is 8.00....after DRP, your average price should be 7.86 (8.00 minus 14 sen)...but since you are getting the DPR at a 3% discount....so your average price will become 7.859
