@Stkoay, Sifu, PBB total dividend for 2021 is 76 sens (15.2 sen * 5). Returns (if before BI) is 0.76/21.40=3.55% (21.40 = 4.28 * 5). MBB is 58 sens. Returns is 0.58/8.77=6.61%. (All prices are opening before Div announcement). So I think MBB returns better for 2021.

Momentum Gathering Pace

The Group finished off the 2021 financial year strongly, with a 4QFY21 net profit of RM2.06bn (+33.8% YoY, +22.1% QoQ). Cumulative 12MFY21 net profit of RM8.09bn (+24.9% YoY) is ahead of our expectations at 106% of full-year numbers, but within consensus at 103%. Margins improved sequentially, and for the year, which we had under-estimated.

EPS: RM0.70 (up from RM0.58 in FY 2020).

Profit margin: 36% (up from 33% in FY 2020). The increase in margin was driven by higher revenue.

Revenue was in line with analyst estimates. Earnings per share (EPS) surpassed analyst estimates by 2.3%.

The single-tier second interim dividend was declared by the Board of Directors of Maybank on 24 February 2022 together with the announcement of the fourth quarter financial results for the financial year ended 31 December 2021.
