Maybank apparently on long term uptrend since the low in October 2020. Likely may peak in 2023 at rm10+ Careful of trading in an uptrend as may miss the boat.

Funds with US$2.6 trillion of gross equity holdings have reduced positions in more expensive growth sectors in favour of energy and financials, he said.

it's quite good. not great. 58 sen is third highest in past 10 years. 64 sen in 2019 and 65 sen in 2012.

Have to remember that those companies making huge profit in 2021 have to pay the 2021 prosperity tax of 33% for chargeable income made above $100 million. I guess they need to consider such payment to Jabatan Hasil Dalam Negeri and keep aside some extra funds for such purpose.

After taking into account genting issue, it is a very good set of numbers so why worry
Capital appreciation make up for lower dividend
Once things settle down,they may release some impairment provisions in 2022
Dividend yield is still good on my avg price
So buy buy buy after ex date and top up

I personal view is that it is a good set of numbers
taking into account all the constraints and issues of 2021
8b is a very good number and 2022 shall be better
My target of 9 by August is very feasible and I am quite confident
