Maybank majority owned by govt.
PBB majority owned by many shareholders

Maybank access to govt activities
PBB access to private & commercial activities

Maybank access to public funds, etc.
PBB access to private, commercial funds.

GOVT DEBT abt RM 1.3+ TRILLION

Without govt support Maybank decline.

PBB thrives on commercial/private activities

Getting dependent on commercial/ private deals

More reliance on PBB, HLB going forward
to push financial funding & growth forward

They're not the BIG BOYS.

It's a temporary contagion effect.
It'll pass as FDIC & Fed are in ctrl now.

Temporary global banks side-effect drop.
Temporary sentiment bank bad.

More important is int rate hikes.

The US Fed is the money printer not treasury. Yelen cannot print. Jerome can.

Silvergate and Signature will not be saved as they are crypto friendly. Silicon Valley Bank will be saved. US Fed and SEC wanted to eliminate crypto so badly.

Just came back from Public Bank branch today 3pm
System Failure, unable to do transactions.
Cashier claim only 1 branch involved.
Even the ticket counter broke down, Bank no money to repair????????

You call this Good Service???

Even before SVB could fully redeemed all their junk Bonds, they already lost USD1.8 Billion....and they cannot recall all their investments to repay depositors........the rest are history.
