Yes, a temporary reprieve, the loan has an interest rate while holding fed bonds could keep on losing more. let us watch how the authorities going to keep sustaining failed banks full of junk bonds.

Its a confident issues in regards with bank. Malaysian banks are well diversify ie does not focus in servicing 1 particular segment of customers (SVB=Tech/VC; Signature=crypto; Credit Swiss=high networth/private banking) thus risk are well diversified.
I believe most Malaysia Bank do not or have very minimal exposure to the SVB/Signature . As for bonds what was reported for SVB & most US bank are paper loss of value of bonds they hold, in normal cases if they keep it till maturity they will get back the full principal.
SVB was force to sell its bond at a loss due to huge withdrawal from its customers. It maybe due to lack to new investment into startup in less new deposit + needs of its customer to withdraw fund to cover their daily operation (as we all know all startup co. are burning cash).
anyway lots of news and ramous flying around. do share any good commentary/analysis to read in regard of the current stage of banking sectors/economy.

If sentiment & situation deteriorate
US banks prices plummet will influence global & domestic banks' prices.

Sure PBB is solid like a Rock
but ff holding PBB shares may exit bit by bit.

Furthermore, Fed is unrelenting in int rate hikes.

Local economy is dependent on exports.
Imports in USD affect local prices.

Overall, economy may be affected.
Collectively, all these likely affect PBB price.

Hopefully, price FALLS, we can buy PBB Low.
When PBB price recovers, we can profit.

More price drops, better for us to buy lower.

At 3.95/3.96, I felt relieve. But in the afternoon session, the sell queue at 3.95 is getting more and more. I felt uneasy. When I looked at Maybank -0.09 and CIMB -0.08, the more fear I get. How? Averaging down is not easy because the more shares you have, the more you will lose. Really don't know how. My broker (HLIB) published a notice, "Get away from the share market". Really idealess.

Brokers/dealers/reminders make money whether you buy or sell. Even you use online trade, they make money off you as they have to manage & monitor your accts.
They are ruthless, out to make money off you.
Your parked money in trust acct only pay puny interest compared to bank int rate.

If can predict stk & mkt direction easily, all become multimillionaire overnight.
Playing stk mkt is easier said than done. You need nerves of STEEL & PATIENCE. If caught in down trend cut loss or wait 1, 2 or even 3 yrs to recover.
Mkt now is definitely NOT bull mkt.
If you seek peaceful sleep put in EPF or FD.

Another bad news. ECB just raise interest rate by 50 basis points, ignoring what happens to the banking sector particularly Credit Suisse. Next week no more hope for Jerome Powell to pause interest rate rise. Expecting 25 basis points hike.
