the worry would be generate growth of the economy which may affect banks income. As for Malaysian banks their bonds/investment if not mistaken are mark to market thus any losses in bonds/investment "value" would have been reflected in their quarter P&L (unlike the US banks which only report as "unrealised losses".
Bank failure look unlikely for Malaysian banks as even the smallest bank ie AFFIN/MBSB are subject to the same guideline set by BNM (unlike US, where smaller banks has a easier guideline to follow).
anyway invest accordingly to your personal risk profile. Other ppl opinion is just for reference.
