Weavefinder... what is so significant about petron? It is quite cold counter compare to HRC, pos and kerjaya. One shark with 15 million in hand and another 10 million in margin can easily outplay the market. And i can feel that he is back. Look at the past pattern and compare the volume itself. He buy in heavily at rm7 and is awaiting this moment.

And i remember exactly 1 sifu who promote like no tomorrow that petron is heaven made. The next day when it drop... that similar sifu come out and say this... this incident should serve as a lesson to investor to never chase high and hype. Somemore add salt to injury bcos i buy at the opening of 8.91.

Precisely happy 888, free float is limited and what more with Petron international holding 73 %, that is why it is lightly traded. Dont you think that this characteristic makes it an excellent stock for keeping and not bother about the noise in the market. You dont even have to bother looking at it everyday. The problem arise if you are a T4 trader. Similarly with HRC. Why do you think that they could appreciate 100% within a couple of months? They cannot do so if they are counters hitting the top 30 volume day in day out. Why fear, the fundamentals with petron is intact. if it goes down so what? these are just minor noises on its way up.

Let the operator throw tomorrow. See who is there to catch him. Always put 3 to 5 cents below him. And dun buy in bulk of 1k. Buy slowly 100 by 100 lot. U will surely get the best valuation. Just imagine this operator got at least 1million share in his hand to unload to u. He needs people to panic buy to unload.
Rm12 to 14... sampat.... dun earn money at the expense of other people. Invest stock have some heart.

Unless if you are dabbling with the cc and cd. But even then the price of petron is above both the exercise price of 6.5 and 8.5 respectively, which negates the value of both being worthless. We cannot have all conditions in our favor, and there is some considerable risk that we have to bear with structured warrants.

No fear of course. But why buy at 9.35 when u look back within 1 week and notice u can get it at rm8.1? I agree with u operator holds most of th ticket. That is why i know who is the knn person who pump and dump.
It is easy to hold a stock when u r looking at the constant uptrend. When u r holding from rm8.91 to rm7 and people ask u to have faith... u really pray lor.
Real investor can wait till pump and dump over before buy. Just to share my experience.
In fact the ones who promote the most are the ones whose hand very itchy wanna sell at highest possible tomorrow.

My advice to you happy 888, dont even think about viewing the market tomorrow. Ask yourself whether you want to get involve with the noise or what. Stay with whatever stockholdings that you have. Unless you have those not already paid for. On that nobody can help except your own decision. If you do watch petron tomorrow, the devil's whisper might take you for a ride. He will tweak your emotions up and down left and right.

Avoid in and out. We have the guidance where by q3, crack spread is super super high. Sure good results. If u sell, for take profit or whatever reasons, very likely u can't buy it and it will goes all way to 12,14,15.when result out and exceed normal expectations, it might go crazy up to 18 as well!

What if someone really believe all the words sang here.... rush in buy BUT.... crackspread is not what it is in Q3. That person kena trap for 1 quarter and maybe has to wait until near end of Q4 before ever seeing it up to rm10?
I am pretty sure then everyone would sang a very different tune by then.
Word of caution.... be careful lah. Investor no need to rush in. Punters take opportunity of it dropping tomorrow and make handsome profit like in LCtitan

So I doubt petronm will have low div, it will be stably more and more only log! With their position in net cash, they can even pay more dividend now!
Imagine 300mil to 400mil a yr, free cash flows after capex, expenses etc. That's RM1 per yr. Even half use to pay div also 0.50 per share

Today dun say wanna rise. If can sustain 9.29 i am very happy already. Look at statement by the forumers here... everybody say if drop 20 to 30% will gladly kutip balik. Why mention 20 to 30%? If u r good investor... a 5% dip like in facebook stock i would go in.
The reason is because half of us here already fear what will happen today.

I will be gladly proven wrong. More than happy in fact to be wrong. Want to invest, invest properly. U ask others become long term investor and u suddenly midway thru become short term trader.

After reading all comment really tempted to invest in this counter..yet looking at the quarterly announment and noted the following:






Non- operational effect:
Gain from disposal of fixed asset 39,902
Increase in realised forex gain 7,212 (11,996-4,784)
Reduce in unrealised forex loss 5,204 (7,155-1,951)

Total non-operational effect = 39902+7212+5204=52,318

Q2 2017 Profit vs Q2 2016 should compared apple to apple as follows:
90,999-52,318 vs 61, 531 = 38,681 vs 61,531
Actual profit after tax reduce by 37.1%

Q2 2017 Profit vs Q1 2017 profit:
90,999-39,902-2,121(realised and unrealised forex effect) vs 108,537
=48,976 vs 108,537 = drop 54.9%


Noted "review in performance" of quaterly annoucement the Management do not comment on why how profit increase. Perhaps above non-operation effect will answer this.

PE is a common tools to evaluate a share price. Excellent cash management will hardly a driver for share price to fly unless lucrative dividend is paying out soon.

So far Petronm price has move from RM4.14 to RM9.xx in short period due to good prospect in PE and not on cash. With current good cash management and shrinking profit , it would unable to elevate the price futher from RM9.xx.

It required new prospect and development to expand the price

Happy 888, view the dynamics of the price movement between HRC and Petron and notice from the bursa graphs, apparently they are similar due to the clustering effect. Between early and mid june both got snafued by RM1, Petron from 8 to 7, HRC from 6 to 5. If petron get screwed today by 5%, HRC might follow suit by how much, only god knows. And perhaps HRC results even if good will likewise screw petron, again due to the clustering effect. Is that how it will work? So look again at the dynamics of price movement. One other thing is that the pullback in june was healthy, or else you might even be scared to enter, because the trajectory was always up. A one major retract and re-tracement is good for the stock.
