We are entering into era of fusion power.
Instead of stopping new projects, Genting spent extra RM Billions for impairment straight into trash can.

With cheap power many things will be made obsolete.

Factory edible meat and factory edible palm oil without palm trees, cheaper diamonds.

Technological advancement bankrupting companies is very normal. Nothing to worry about. Genting PN17 and then bankrupt, it's very normal.

The pace of change can be very rapid. Those who hang on to shares of steam engine companies thinking it's not so fast all died.
A quick dump and convert to ICE manufacturers is the solution back then.

Today we have Genting investing heavily into obsolete technology like steam engines... comparatively speaking.
So dun blame Hedge Funds for dumping navel gazers investing heavily into steam engines and with potential RM30 Billion write off some more.
