Haha, hlind cantekkk. Surprisingly this stock has some weak hand. Wait tomolo see hiw. Weak hand sell to cut loss. Then stronghand will sapu more. Friday is good t
I think 8wpwt...calculation looks logical = RM12.01; even at today's low closing price. So why are people selling to get out so close to bonus issue date? By the way why is your name so difficult ? "8wpwtmt8"; and what does this mean, how do your pronounce it? It must be something good .
Dear Novice168, it is actually my name and my wife's name initial. Regarding the selling pressure, I am afraid what "happyman" commented got some truth in it.
"happyman: so many people keep thinking that upon ex HLI will be adjusted by 1.08....please 1.08 is only a reference price .. the ex HLI price will be determined by the market. it can be 4 or 5 or 6 or 7.....if 4, 5 people will be disappointed ..if 6, 7 then it will be good ...too early to tell, some even think it will be 12 before ex ....."
HLind EPS is 0.54;so at 15 PE; the price adjustment should be RM 8.1 after distribution. or at 12 PE; the HL-Ind should be priced at 6.48.This plus the bonus of Narra, now priced at 4.50; HLind value is much higher than the current selling price of 8.25. Very strange.
IF HLi earning per share is 0.54, and the historical PE range has been 10-15, . let us take the mean at 12.50... that works out to be 6.75HLI after EX, and add on narra s assumimg 4.00 that add up to be 10.75....... not bad at all, please please don't be harass by kclow ... we don't know who is he n what is his intention...base on pure calculation it sound ok! even at PE 10 (5.40+4= 9.40) still looks ok right ?
8wpw, No, you should be able to sell your shares on the ex-date and still receive the share distribution. The ex-date is the date that the seller, not the buyer, will be entitled to the distribution. The entitlement date which is usually 2 days after the ex-date is the cut-off date to identify the final shareholders to ensure they receive the entitlement. So you can sell it on the ex-date which would have factored in the RM1.08 reduction and still receive your Narra. You can verify with your remisier.
KClow, we are here to share information. We can be right or wrong, but speak honestly and truthfully. One will gain respect not only when we are right but when we truly believe what we write and act according to what we said we would do. When we bless others, we will be blessed too.
Dear Danielsks, the announcement says "entitled shareholders of HLI will receive 1,080 Narra Shares for every 1,000 HLI Shares held as at 5 p.m. on 16 October 2014 (“Entitlement Date”)." So I think we can sell only on 17 October 2014.
The above 345,030,635 Narra Shares to be distributed represent substantially all the consideration shares to be received by HLI from Narra Industries Berhad (“Narra”) pursuant to the disposal by HLI of Hume Concrete Sdn Bhd (formerly known as Hume Industries (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd) and the entire irredeemable convertible preference shares in Hume Cement Sdn Bhd to Narra.
The Capital Distribution shall be implemented by way of reduction of the share premium reserve of HLI by approximately RM234.1 million.
Under the Capital Distribution, entitled shareholders of HLI will receive 1,080 Narra Shares for every 1,000 HLI Shares held as at 5 p.m. on 16 October 2014 (“Entitlement Date”).
Fractional entitlements to the Narra Shares, if any, shall be disregarded and shall be dealt with by the Board of Directors of HLI as it may in its absolute discretion deems fit or expedient and in the best interests of HLI.
The Narra Shares to be distributed shall be credited into the Central Depository System accounts of the entitled shareholders within 8 market days from the Entitlement Date.
8wpwtmt8 ,thank you for the detail information . How does the reduction of the share premium reserve of HLI by approximately RM234.1 million going to affect the ex HL ind share price? what does "reduction of the share premium reserve" means?
8wpw, the ex-date indicates that the seller will get the distribution and not the buyer. The entitlement date is for the company to identify and confirm the rightful holder THAT EXIST IN THEIR RECORD on the said date and time. After the verification they will then credit the Narra shares into your CDS a/c WITHIN 8 market days from that date. In a nut shell, you can't sell your Narra shres until it's credited into your a/c but you can sell your HLI shares immediately on the ex-date. It's similar to dividend payout.
My remisier told me it may be contra kaki selling. Today is T4 from the peak , when contra kaki play hoping to make money on the rise. Let see tomorrow; hope all contra kaki gone. Hope the drop will not trigger profit taking sell by others.
There's no necessity to worry if you trust in it's fundamentals. HLI's eps is 0.54 and that of Narra is projected to be 0.23. Let's give a conservative PER of 10 to 15 for HLI but what ratio would you assign to Narra bearing in mind that the PER of Tasek and Lafarge is now above 20.
Thank you Danielsks, it is comforting to know the fundamental behind these 2 counters. Happy long weekend to you all. Enjoy your hari Raya Haji on Monday. Be happy, be rich, and be safe; driving.
It is to be expected as 348M new shares will be listed soon. Expect it to go lower. If you currently own HLI and Narra shares, you would opt to sell your Narra now as your new Narra shares are theoretically at RM1.00 cost.
there are people after collecting some shares , they will spread rumours about the share going sky high, within very short period .this will attract in people who are greedy to make fast money....they will push up the price n dump it to the short term innocent players that jump in.. that may explain why we have a volume of I million share 2 days ago ,, of couse they know that major shareholder is not going to dump them in the eve of major exercise....anyway just my guess...these people may be laughing all the way to the bank now.. and asking everybody to sell this share so that they collect cheap again ????????? this is just my 2 penny guessing work
That's why we should stay with the fundamentals and ignore the noises. Again everyone's strategy may be different, depending on whether they're investors or speculators.
Adjustment Factor = Closing Price Of HLIND on 13 Oct -RM1.08 and divide by Closing Price of HLIND on 13 Oct.
Assuming HLIND closed at Rm8.50, then AF will be 0.87. The revised Ex Price of CA will be Rm7.20 X 0.87 = RM6.285 The revised ratio will be 6 X 0.87= 5.22 Thus, it will be RM6.285 + 5.22CA after Ex date
I think it was trading around the RM5+ level when the exercise was first proposed which is around the PE 10 region. So that should be a good reference point. Anything above that after the ex-date would be a bonus.

I will wait until it drops below RM8.00 to buy some more. Very likely T+ 3 of yesterday's (2.10.14) trading, i.e. next Wednesday (8.10.14).
