怡保July 10日訊：西海岸大道 公司大道營運主任賽慕哈末納古指出，在今年（2023）年杪，西海岸大道（WCE）將有4個區通車,即第1、 第2、第6和第11區,涉及南巴生河 流城大道（SKVE）、萬津、亞參爪 吐和太平南部。
他說，由雪州萬津指接霹靂太平的 西海岸大道全長320公里,其中霹靂州 占130公里(包括免收費路段),分成11 區,目前4個區即第5、第6、第9和第10 區已通車,剩下7區未通車,隨4區將 在今年年杪通車後,其余的3個區,也預 計會未來12個月陸續完工。
他說，在剩余的建築進展中，其中最北部,即第口區的威至太平南部 已完成了88%的工程建設,預料今年年尾全面完工，涉及工程如鋪路、斜道、 收費站和維修。
他說，西海岸大道雪州萬至 霹雷太平，也貫連各地主要碼頭即巴 生碼頭、紅土碼頭並持續至檳城。 該大道由2019年起動工，預料在2025年完工。
他補充,木威至太平南部的大道長程為35.5公里，太平南部路口將與南北 大道的章古遜令路口形成交界。
他說，由2018年開始,西海岸大 道的交通車流量提升了30%，即由一天3 萬5000輛車提升至5萬至6萬輛車。
最近的開齋節，最高車流量一天高達10萬輛。
