Noticed that during this Haji holiday, gold retailing business are very good. Malaysians are used to current gold price. Great news for gold stock eg Poh Kong which is still undervalued. Great business might also due to EPF account 3.

top up some more POHKONG at RM1.18 (20 june 2024, 2.35pm), switched my capital from TOMEI to POHKONG here because POHKONG recent QR is a lot better. overally POHKONG improved a lot more than TOMEI. focusing solely on POHKONG as my gold counter now

Adding here, this stock trade like gold miners. Even though gold drop overnight but gold miners mostly up. Gold cannot press too hard, China and central banks are waiting to buy in. Just wait for friday pce report and see how gold react.

The PAT for Q3 2024 is 47.6 million.
This PAT already broke new record quarter profit.
Last 4 rolling quarter EPS is 24.34 sen.
This stock is trading at a PER = 4.64.
Feel quite sad this stock just cannot perform.
This stock is really undervalued.

gold counters are a little funny, basically they buy gold and sell as finished goods, so if gold price go up rightfully demand shd go down, and gold becomes less affordable to people, therefore less transactions and therefore less profit but here its the opposite..... when gold price go up the profits of gold counters ho up also LOL ... can someone help explain this to me ah? Now the PE ratio has gone down to 4x which is undervalued.... so will investors buy and push the PER up?

Gold price up b’coz demand up (not down) - ultra rich always buy gold as wealth preservation

Since Jan23, gold price up 20% in usd but up 35% in local RM..gold EXTREMELY valuable in countries local currency laosai like Argentina/Turkey (wealth preservation)

TOMEI PB = 1.82 / / 3.1 = 0.58

POHKONG has slight NTA lagging behind TOMEI that needed to catch up

that is not yet accounting it's greater than tomei most recent QR

With increasing profits, PK will pay higher dividends or give bonus shares in the near future. The directors also know that PK is undervalued and they also want to get a bigger share of the profits.
