wan7075, the Malaysian government stepped in to ban all rubberwood exports in order to fulfill the shortage of this very basic materials for the local furniture industry. This is a good thing for all furniture makers. Any drop in prices of rubberwood will also benefit all particleboard/furniture makers.
Hevea always participate in Homedec exhibitons to promote their eco-friendly low-formaldehyde kids furniture. The next one will be in JB. Check it out here:
Just like many of its competitors/peers, Heveaboard's traditional selling "channel" has always been business-to-business (B2B) via third-parties or distributors' networks (hypermarkets, etc.) but it started to sell directly to consumers (B2C) through its own self-managed online e-commerce portal mykreakids for its kids furniture range. I have yet seen its listed competitors doing as such. This is nicely complementing its mainly export driven business models.
You can check out that Heveaboard also listed to sell in Alibaba, Lazada and other online marketplace platforms as well. Since Heveaboard now has its own self-managed online website to sell directly to any consumers, it's sensible and logical to speculate that it can replicate the same online platform to sell any of its "mushrooms" related products in future through online. The King Oyster Mushroom (KOM) mushroom is not limited to being sold as fresh gourmet products but it can be processed into dried products, health foods/supplements and food snacks. All the "processed" food products will have even longer shelf-life and suitable to be exported worldwide. Do u see the potentials now?
Yeah. Indeed I seldom see those industrial PLCs do such B2C channel to direct consumers. Most common is put the platform in Alibaba (same as my company) rather than setup the portal website & need to manage it too.
And jus like u said, i googled hevea kids furniture come out listing from lazada....some of the product look alike available at tesco with from diff company.quality shud be diff imo
Owning a self-managed website to sell own-branded products is not only practical but should be viewed as a strategic move to establish a good branding image and to boost confidence of existing & potential customers from anywhere else.
I know a few Bursa listed companies which sell directly to consumers via websites too and some even introduced affiliation programmes to boost sales efforts. This is another strategy for Heveaboard to consider.
If you are investing based on the mushroom venture u are probably not a good investor. Invest on the business that they are expert at. Not something u know nothing about the outcomes. Invest on their management and their expertise. Wether or not their new venture will succeed is a add on later on
godhand, u have a very rationally view when most ppl are being irrationally! Focus on the business instead of the index or shares price movement. hahaha
I thought rabies outbreak is under control? No? I smell very strong sour vinegar.
Hevea's market cap has reached RM 912 millions. Look at the solid buying 1.66-1.68. You will be surprised that it's into another level already. Between optimism and pessimism, one must differentiate the two.
The rally and uptrend is already a testament to one's success in spotting a remarkable investment. From 1.30 to 1.70 has reaped an obvious 30% gains under a short 2 months only.
Both particleboard and RTA will remain as its core businesses with 40% & 60% annual revenues contributions respectively. The new mushroom venture is using the byproducts from that 2 core businesses and still could get very high profit margins. It's okay to be envious so get over it!
From on and on he kept talking about mushroom. Talk to me when hevea is still doing as good if they are not selling a single particleboard and concentrate on mushroom. My price is 1.30 also why would I be envious.
Like it or not this mushroom thing is irrelevant to the eye of an investor
Even ignore the mushroom biz, current division of RTA & particleboard still able to contribute higher profit & revenues. Regret that my enter price is 1.50 only, hopefully this counter price will fly higher and register another brilliant financial result again.
godhand, if u sold out then u are no longer Heveaboard's shareholders. That means u are just waiting to buyback and feeling pain in the ass. Otherwise what are u even doing here? lol
The mushroom venture has yet to contribute to the existing earnings base. It will definitely adds up the values whether u like it or not! Talk to me when u have shares on hand. Don't kacau here. We don't need irrelevant people and voices here. We need people who are interested into Heveaboard only.
That is why u don't understand Heveaboard. MD Yoong has reaffirmed in the latest interview that it needs to retain the 2 core businesses and without them the soon-to-be third core business won't be functioning because it utilizes the waste by-products from the first 2 core businesses. You've to interpret the statements well. Where is stockraider? lol
Of course I'm enthusiastic to talk about the new gourmet fungi business because it's the next major catalyst. Back in years ago, who would have thought the turnaround plans were so successful and that new RTA segment had surpassed its main core business of particleboard.
Then the interview is published on FocusM on 07-July-2017. So in such a short 4 months, it had progressed so much & ready to announce it. Do your homework.
We probably invest on a very different reason, basis and discipline.
Im firm with my stand theres tracable records of my comments. U can give us longass articles but all these mushroom things are never proven before. Show us number.
