As our smart geary highlighted...

CapitalA Bhd will have 5 businesses:
1. Teleport Everywhere: Future above #100 Freighters (Consumer Defensive).
2. ADE (Aircraft MRO). Consumer Cyclical.
3. Santan Catering/Restaurant (Consumer Defensive).
4. AirAsia MOVE...this is the most interesting business venture... it's a combination different airline booking, hotels, etc
5 Aviation – those who hold CapitalA...will have AA Aviation...allocated shares (maybe 1:5).

Born from SIA are SIA Eng n SATS. Hence CapitalA Bhd will be almost same as SATS but with another interesting business, that's AirAsiaMOVE.
AA Aviation Services cover Medium/Short Hauls
SIA Low Cost Aviation Services Long/Medium (Scoots)/Short (Tiger).
Well interesting to see how its 5 businesses growth prospects...

Bottom line is the sky is the limit again for Capital A in 2024...

Just to expand on geary post..

SATS and SIA Engineering are both subsidiaries of SIA, which is the national airline of Singapore. SATS provides ground handling and catering services to airlines and airports, while SIA Engineering provides maintenance, repair, and overhaul services to aircraft. SIA owns stakes in both SATS and SIA Engineering, and they are also listed on the Singapore Exchange1

Based on the latest analyst reports, SATS and SIA Engineering both have positive outlooks for the next 12 months, with average target prices of $2.99 and $2.80 respectively, representing potential returns of 2.7% and 9.8% respectively. The analysts expect these companies to benefit from the recovery of the aviation sector, especially in the Asia Pacific region, where Singapore is a leading hub. They also cite the strong balance sheets, diversified revenue streams, and digital transformation initiatives of these companies as factors that support their growth prospects.

As a master of facts; CapitalA more sophisticated businesses...that are AirAsia MOVE n Santan/Restaurant.

Teleport has its own freighter fleets, probably above #100...forward going, plus joint venture with ShunFeng Cargo Airline/DHL/etc!?
Ground Handlings are cargo, pax service, catering, baggage, aircraft interior/exterior cleanings n aircraft laundry service.
These are handed by CapitalA/Teleport n Santan Catering...brother n sister combination!?

ADE(MRO), highly lucrative service for its own aircrafts n other airlines.
Cost savings on maintenance!?

The wonderful one is AirAsia MOVE...this we really find hard to analyze its growth prospects!?
Even though it's not a digital banking, but it has BigPay, remittance service, n as n debit card, online payment, etc!?

Well... CapitalA has more potential growth prospects...for shareholders... either special dividend/share in specie...from future listing entities... Teleport, AirAsia Move n ADE (MRO)...TQ.🤓

Indeed geary. Thanks for reenforcing your explanations. Now Mabel understand why so many Uncles and Aunties don't want to sell their shares to Mabel today..

Perhaps they all cum to realize that buying CapitalA is like Buy one get 4 Free. Now you know why Tony is a real Magician..

Singapore Airlines closed $6.43 up by by 0.63% while CapitalA maintain at 82 sen today despite Mabel's waiting to collect more at 80 sen.

Summing up – 2024 will be a good year for both Mabel Airlines in Malaysia and Temasek

Capital A, formerly known as AirAsia Group, intends to sell its aviation business to AirAsia X, its long-haul unit, with the goal of consolidating its operations under one brand and focusing on its non-aviation businesses, such as payments, logistics, and online travel. The deal is subject to a final agreement and approvals from shareholders and courts. Capital A expects to benefit from the recovery of the aviation sector and the growth of its digital platforms.

Singapore Airlines, on the other hand, reported record revenue and earnings for the financial year ended 31 March 2023, thanks to the strong rebound in travel demand and the successful execution of its transformation strategy. The group has 100 new-generation aircraft in its order book, including nine new 112-seater Embraer E190-E2 aircraft to Scoot’s fleet from 2024, complementing the budget carrier’s larger Airbus A320 family and Boeing 787 aircraft. Singapore Airlines expects to maintain its leadership position in the premium market and expand its network and customer base in the region

TA Securities is positive on Capital A Bhd’s move to dispose of its aviation business to AirAsia X Bhd (AAX) as it is necessary to uplift Capital A from its Practice Note 17 (PN17) status.

“From the risk perspective, we are positive as we deem the disposals are necessary to uplift Capital A from its PN17 status or risk triggering a trading suspension.

“Moreover, the shareholders of Capital A are expected to continue to hold shares in the aviation segment via AAX,” it said in a report.

*Summing up – 2024 will be a good year for both Mabel Airlines in Malaysia and Singapore*.

The one-hour flight between Singapore and Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia is the *World busiest international route, showing the scale of Asia's post-Covid-19 travel recovery. The International Air Transport Association (Iata) forecasts that in 2024, airlines will make US$25.7 billion (S$34 billion) in profits, on the back of a record US$964 billion in revenue.

Malaysia and Singapore are Truly Asia with Mabel Airlines Clear Blue in 2024. With 3 International Awards, it’s 150%% Success Rate for Mabel Airlines to help everyone to fly...

• Malaysia AirAsia continued success being named the World's Best Low-Cost Airline in 2023
• Singapore Airlines continued success being named the World's Best Airline in 2023
• Singapore's Scoot taking the top title as the World’s Best Long Haul Low-Cost Airline in 2023

CapitalA is a holding company that owns various businesses related to aviation, logistics, food and beverage, digital services, and engineering. It plans to sell its airline businesses to AirAsia X, a sister company that operates mid-haul flights, to streamline the group and unlock greater value for shareholders. The shareholders of Capital A are expected to continue to hold shares in the aviation segment via AAX. CapitalA are paid in advance meaning to get from point A to point B. This means that customers pay for the services before they receive them and 2023 is a great year for our CapitalA as it has been reporting narrower and narrower losses. 2024 will be better...

CapitalA’s non-aviation businesses include Teleport, which has its own freighter fleets and joint ventures with other cargo airlines; Santan, which operates restaurants and catering services; AirAsia Move, which offers digital services such as BigPay, a remittance and debit card service; and ADE, which provides aircraft maintenance, repair, and operations services.

Singapore Airlines is a premium airline that operates long-haul flights to various destinations around the world. It reported record revenue and earnings for the financial year ended 31 March 2023, thanks to the strong rebound in travel demand and the successful execution of its transformation strategy.

Singapore Airlines has 100 new-generation aircraft in its order book, including nine new 112-seater Embraer E190-E2 aircraft to Scoot’s fleet from 2024, complementing the budget carrier’s larger Airbus A320 family and Boeing 787 aircraft. Singapore Airlines expects to maintain its leadership position in the premium market and expand its network and customer base in the region.

In summary, CapitalA and Singapore Airlines are different in terms of their business models, target markets, and growth prospects. CapitalA is more diversified, sophisticated and focused on the short-haul and mid-haul segments, while Singapore Airlines is more specialized and focused on the long-haul and premium segments. Both have their own strengths and challenges in the competitive aviation industry.

The sky is now crowded with many low cost airlines compare with when Stony just starting the AA. AA is now loaded with debts, accumulated losses RM 10,331 million and the lease payment is now RM700 million and increasing per quarter.

Come 2024 need to pay addition loyalty fees to Brand AA
Brand AA is a brand management company. It is the registered proprietor for all the rights under the AirAsia brand.
Under a master brand licensing agreement dated May 31 this year, Brand AA has the right to collect royalty fees from AirAsia Aviation Group Ltd, Capital A’s aviation division.

2024 will be a survival or bankrupt year for AA or should I say AAX since Stony capA' plan to exit PN17 is to dispose CapA's aviation to AAX.

Benchmarking..
SIA reported a net profit of $1.2 billion for the financial year ended 31 March 2023, a significant turnaround from the net loss of $4.3 billion in the previous year. The analysts have a positive outlook on SIA, citing its strong brand reputation, resilient balance sheet, diversified revenue sources, and strategic partnerships.

In quarter 3 end 30 Sept 2023 capA acquisition of a loss making subsidiary PAA for undisclosed sum and result in gain in Intangible assets RM 3,943 million in the balance sheet but negative billion of non-controlling interests equity transfered to shareholders' equity.

Can PAA compete with Cebu Air in Philippine?

Jan 9, 2024,01:40am EST
Cebu Air—the Philippine budget carrier controlled by Lance Gokongwei and his family’s JG Summit—is in talks to order 150 planes worth about $18 billion from Airbus and Boeing as it seeks to upgrade and expand its fleet amid a post-pandemic travel boom.

Negotiations are ongoing for what would be the single biggest plane purchase by a Philippine airline, Cebu Air said Monday, confirming an earlier report by the Philippine Star. It hopes to place the order within the first half of this year

So what does Warren Buffett think about technical analysis?

“I realized that technical analysis didn’t work when I turned the chart upside down and didn’t get a different answer.” — Warren Buffett.

This quote from the great man nicknamed the Oracle Of Omaha, makes it very clear that he does not do technical analysis when on his stock picks.

While it’s clear Mr. Buffett doesn’t believe in technical analysis, so many times when investing in markets, the opposite of what you believe you should do is actually the best bet.

This world is not for the faint of heart.

But the opportunity available is far too great to let a little bit of anxiety get in the way.

So what should we do? The best thing, like in all aspects of life, is to create a plan.

And despite what Warren Buffett thinks, technical analysis can be a great way to enter and exit your trades.

Like everything we do in life, it’s all in how it is executed. Even the famed tool of the value investor, the discounted cash flow method, is useless if used incorrectly.

The hard part is that we never know one key, crucial component when investing: the future.

That’s why knowing how to use technical analysis is important.

It helps you understand what may be about to happen based on patterns of the past.

That way you can be well prepared!
