Most of the company own by foreign country like AEON, AEONCN, DutchLady, BAT, Carlsberg, GAB and Panamy is above RM15.00. DKSH (M) Sdn Bhd is a subsidary of DKSH Switzerland Zurich and listed in six Swiss Exchange. DKSH is holding 74.31% of total DKSH (M) shares. My prediction for DKSH is RM8.00 this year and RM12.00 next year.......GOOD LUCK.
Zurich, Switzerland, August 13, 2013 – DKSH (SIX: DKSH), the leading Market Expansion Services provider with a focus on Asia, reported today another successful half-year 2013. Publicly listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange since March 20, 2012, DKSH achieved net sales and profit after tax growth of 14.3% and 30.8%, respectively, compared to the first half 2012.
Again, DKSH exceeded the projected long-term growth rate of 8.3% of its addressable Market Expansion Services industry, confirming further market share gains.
95% of net sales growth were achieved organically, i.e. excluding M&A activity.
Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) increased by 13.4% (+CHF 16.9 million) to CHF 142.8 million, despite the strong depreciation of the Japanese Yen.
Free cash flow increased by 236.2% to CHF 170.8 million, which is extraordinary in light of the strong sales growth of CHF 594.5 million in the first half of 2013.
Dr. Joerg Wolle, President & CEO of DKSH, commented: “Thanks to the consistent implementation of our strategy for sustainable profitable growth we have been able to achieve very positive results also in the first half of 2013. With an organic growth significantly above the market we have once again increased our market share and continued our course of success in the first six months of the year.”
DKSH’s strategy for sustainable profitable growth is centered on growing organically, through expanding business with existing clients, multiplying success stories from country to country, and new business development, complemented by strategic bolt-on acquisitions. At the same time, DKSH is continuously strengthening the service offering and increasing the efficiency and performance of its business processes.
Strategic acquisition in Indonesia
This week, DKSH signed an agreement to acquire PT Primatek Technologies, a well-established Indonesian distributor of capital investment goods, with Swiss origin. This acquisition will provide DKSH with a solid basis for the market entry in Indonesia with its Business Unit Technology. DKSH thereby expands its existing presence with Business Unit Performance Materials in one of the fastest-growing markets in ASEAN.
With this move, DKSH is driving forward the ongoing consolidation of the rapidly growing, yet highly fragmented Market Expansion Services industry.
More than 26,000 employees
People are DKSH’s most important asset and the company continues to invest in the skills and training of its employees. By June 30, 2013, DKSH employed 26,263 specialists worldwide, representing an increase of 381 people or 1.5% vs. year-end 2012.
Somboon Prasitjutrakul, Head of Business Unit Consumer Goods and one of DKSH’s longest-serving Members of Group Management will go into retirement at the end of 2013. Dr. Joerg Wolle, President & CEO of DKSH, comments: “The Board of Directors and the Group Management would like to sincerely thank Somboon Prasitjutrakul for his valuable contribution over two decades and wish him all the best for the future.” The succession plan will be communicated in detail at a later stage.
Outlook for 2013 remains positive
In spite of more and more negative comments and the proliferation of economic news about a less positive development with slower growth in emerging markets, DKSH expects its main markets to perform favorably. This growth is driven by the rising middle class in Asia, increasing trade flows to and within Asia and the trend for companies to outsource non-core activities. From today’s perspective the company is optimistic that 2013 will be another record year with double-digit profitable growth, whereby sales are expected to grow at least in line with the addressable market.
Welcome to DKSH Winning Team. I've already make my first barrel of GOLD. Now waiting to make my 2nd and 3rd Barrel of GOLD. Together we can make it happen.
I share your views on DKSH and I will join DKSH Winning Team many years later as I need long time to understand, follow up the company. Cheer for you first and please reserve a seat for me and provide me any insight to expedite my understanding process. Thank you.
Yes, congrats! Count me in also!! Didnt know I had DKSH as it was 'dormant' for many years with another brokerage! From a mere RM1 to RM5.60... What a pleasant surprise! Will keep long term..
Derreck, but I kept it for sooooo long term, many years already! Do you know if you had bought 1,000 Public Bank or 1,000 Genting, when it first opened for public issue, you would have been a millionaire with PBB and a multi-millionaire with Genting, by now? Just by keeping long term, and let it multiply with bonus/rights!
soosuan, Yeah i know but the problem that time i still in my mothers womb lol XD.
Btw just want to ask sifu soonsuan here if you met 2008 economy crisis that time you will sell those long term stock or just let it be and keep holding on ?
Thanks in advance if sifu can teach this newbie here =)
1997 crisis is worst than 2008. I started playing 1982 and I am still learning from mistake....Based on my past experience....foreign own company is more stable. eg..DutchLady, AeonCR, BAT, Carlsberg, GAB and Panamy. DKSH is from Switzerland Zurich and listed in six Swiss Exchange. DKSH head office is holding 74.31% of total DKSH (M) shares. Top 30 major shareholders is holding 91%......Very little seller.....So long term so be good.
Dividend payout this week. 08/22/2013 - 11.5% DKSH (M) Sdn. Bhd. - Q2 2013 result should be out soon. So be Good if based on DKSH Headoffice result below.

Yes, 1997 crisis was the worst so far I witnessed, worse than 2008 crisis! As neohts mentioned, foreign owned companies were faring better, more stable, eg. GAB, which even in economic downturn, people also drink, even worse, coz they want to drown their sorrows! he he!! Actually, I was also 'caught' in the 1997 downturn, and couldnt sell in time, so keep lor, and now also bearing fruit! But of course, if I could sell all in time and bought back, it would have been better. (Was busy working that time, now like now retired already, more time to monitor the market) Anyway, times have changed.. nowadays the slightest bad news will bring the market down, eg. if interest rates in US goes up, it will be bad for the stock and property markets, and inevitably will affect us in Malaysia too! So must keep an eye on the latest business/political news. A;ll the bet, Derreck, from soosuan, who is not a sifu!!
Thanks for your share of experience and insights, neohts and soosuan. It meant a lot to me as a newbie. Now, I need to patiently wait and pray the market will recover and recoup my losses on other shares. Sell them all and invest on foreign companies that don't seem to be easily affected by bad news or the manipulation of certain parties on the share price.
Europe Market open higher 22/08/13 - 4.50 pm Malaysian time.....If Europe can end the day higher...than hopefully US market also follow.....Malaysia KLSE should technical rebound.
US Market close higher - up 66 points. All Europe index end higher yesterday. Hopefully Asia stock market open higher today
MALAYSIA has managed to improve its gross domestic product (GDP) performance for the second quarter this year to 4.3 per cent from 4.1 per cent in the first quarter, on the back of robust domestic demand and despite a weak external sector.
Lembaga Tabung Angkatan Tentera - Disposed 51.5 shares last week. Based on 2012 annual report - HSBC and Citigroup Nominees (Fund) acquired a lot of DKSH shares in open market last year.
I use to have DKSH below 1.78 but sold at 2.40 a few years ago.....take profit......then later buy back at 2.10 and start accumulate........long term should be good.
Firday US close higher 47 pts. Europe also end higher. ....BUT Malaysia ?????? 1 Malaysia and election spend too much....PTPTN also cannot get back money.....a few Billion RM gone.

Sooner or later DKSH will be like AEON. My target price for YR2014 - RM12.00.
Now 5.52 still very cheap.
