By referring to the history record, the dividend given was around RM200 to RM250 per year. Assuming you are buying now with the cost of 4.34, the year end dividend will give you a return of 4.6 to 5.7%. This does not include the price increase in share yet.
Also, the share price will slowly pick up from now till the announcement on the dividend. I think Jan/Feb is the best time to buy it since the price is adjusted (after ex-date) and also some of the investors selling it since they already got the dividend. However, you must have holding power to hold this share till end of the financial year when dividend announce.
Most of the export sales are quote in USD no matter which country you sell. Just like other countries export goods into Malaysia. They are not quote in RM. And that was the reason you see price increase in some of the goods in Malaysia when our RM getting weak as we have to pay them in USD.
a very hard to accumulate company. too little free float shares in the market. the company should do bonus issue. 100k shares mean enter top 30 shareholder list already.
estimate 25 sens this year. lower end 20 sens cause this years performance has drop compare to last 2 years. strong USD and lower cocoa prices would help boost the earning back a bit. can't wait to see the financial result coming out this month.
I sold at 4.48 to buy other counter because some counter has dropped a lot and Apollo I only lose brokerage fee. So I think is time for me to shift to those with high earning share with low PE and high dividend yield.
m00077. u dun consider apollo a steady earner with low pe and high dividend yield counter. may I know which company is consider high earning with low PE & high dividend yield then.
cindy_gal, I buy a lot of YOCB at 0.88. YOCB has a strong balance sheet and has much lower PE than Apollo, before Apollo 1st quarter results out. But now look like Apollo is also has a good 1st quarter JULY 31st 2015 results. Anyhow I will still keep YOCB while monitoring the share price movement of Apollo. I had jumped in and bought Apollo at 4.65 (sold at 4.48 previously) but only 2000 shares just in case the price shoot up.
cindy_gal, I have been buying Apollo share for a long time, only lately panic selling when I invested too much in the stock market. I had sold quite a lot at very low price (feel regret) just in case the market plunge further. I need to reserve some cash.
the secret of sucess in investing. hold whatever is good at all times and reinvest it dividen into it. apollo balance sheet 100m cash with no borrowing haha
Apollo's dividend ex date is on the 9th December 2015 and payment made on 1st January 2016. If you're still holding some excess cash then consider parking your money with Apollo.
DPS : 0.25
Simply buying 1000 shares at RM4.90/share (RM4900.00), you may expect a dividend payout of RM 250.
I've recently wrote an article on Apollo, check it out and let me know your thoughts.
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....

Because I don't have additional information whether resin division of HEXZA can make profit or not, so 80+ sen is a bit gamble.
But Apollo,, the food is the best and most tasty among APOLLO, OFI, COCOLAND & HIGH5.
So as long as the sons of Ayam Tua likes Apollo layer cakes, the apollo can grow more.
