As I said earlier, the electricity supply in Singapore is still tight as there is no new capacity in past few years, while electricity demand is creeping up due to new data centres (at least 50-100MW increase every year), higher industrial activities after COVID, EV charging and occasional heat wave.

USEP will spike up for few hours every now and then whenever there is spike in demand, or when there is a combined-cycle gas turbine on maintenance, or tripped off.

Indications on the ground in the months of July and August show that PowerSeraya should be on track to beat my earnings projection of S$170m net profit for July-Sept 2024 (Q1 FY2025) quarter.

This will offset against the strong ringgit as of 30 Sept 2024. SGD has since rebounded to RM3.28 lately, due to lower expectations for another 50 bps rate cut by US Fed in November after a strong non-farm payroll data recently.

Retails margin should stabilise at around SGD60/MWh or slightly higher if demand picks up towards January. It will not collapse like some sell-side analysts are trying to project. Vesting non-fuel margin is already close to SGD60/MWh due to inflation in capex, opex and land costs, hence the non-contestable customers are paying this rate for electricity supply by MSSL.

As long as no corruption, small mistake on the spec, payback over charge only.
Cannot claim back 176 million is ok for YTL Communications.
Once MACC case is resolved, the share price of YTLpower will rocket up the roof.

Dear all, frankly speaking, friendly YTLpower forumers should thankful and grateful to Dragon328 and OTB who sincerely sharing what they researched and analysed with us, MY sincere thanks to them without prejudice, even though they may have indirect and direct interest in YTLpower when price appreciated, it is ok and fine as all of us benefit and prosperous together mah, all happy together, it is nothing wrong.

I am old timer in market investment , most likely older than OTB. Already retired 15 years from MNC's senior management, however still have good business sense of future trend what will be next super bull sector for 5 years 10 years to come. What else ? haha AI DC lah. As Purebull said Nvidia ( USD 3.1T market cap) partner and collaboration with YTLpower, what are you waiting for? Still want to sent negative news and waiting for YTLpower to drop further below RM3.3? Sure we can dream and continue to dream. From my perspective, since young ages to old uncle as a technology man, my BET my BET still YTLpower . We all can imagine the 500MW GREEN DATA CENTER on 1664 ACRES Land bought from Boutead Young estate only RM6. From simple math, how much this piece of land could generate Revenue and profit to YTLpower when 100MW, 200MW, 250MW etc ......are in operational and leasing out. If we cant imagine, we may do ratio analysis of Equinix ( cloud n AI DC leader) , Qtrly PAT around USD350M.

One more thing , if surrounding kulai land for sales already appreciated to RM50 to RM150 for per SQFT for DC purposes ?. Someone can help me to verify as I am from Penang.

Tropicana just disposed 38 acres Johor land to Computility Technology SDN BHD priced at RM239M for cloud/DC business. It is equivalent RM150 per SQFT. Haha , YTLpower land only RM6 vs others RM150 SQFT, most likely the premium location perse. Interestingly is the YTLpower management's long sighted has a bold move and win at a first mile of DC competition.

Congratulations to all long term investors, trust you all will laugh all the way to the banks 2 years from now.
