KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 16): UEM Group Bhd has secured majority shares in Cenergi SEA Bhd, a sustainable energy solutions company, from sovereign wealth fund Khazanah Nasional Bhd, and plans to grow its new subsidiary’s renewable energy (RE) business.
At present, Cenergi has in the pipeline biogas, rooftop solar and solar farm projects that are under construction and development in Malaysia. In addition, its subsidiary Cenergi EE Holdings Sdn Bhd was recently allotted a 29.99MW alternating current quota under the Energy Commission’s Corporate Green Power Programme.
Now let see, who want to secures shares in MK Land for this RE business.
When institutional fund and investors started to buy a stake in Mkland due to its improving business fundamental, then Mkland Wil fly straight to the sky...So far if u check on their 30 largest sholder, there is no large Institutional fund investors...Things might change soon as MK starts to kickstart more projects

KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 21): Southeast Asian national oil companies (NOCs) and traditional upstream players are progressively focusing on cleaner and more environmentally friendly energy initiatives with investments set to exceed US$76 billion (RM353.1 billion) from 2023 to 2025, according to Rystad Energy.
Similarly, Gentari, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Petronas, has made substantial investments in solar capabilities, seeking to harness the nation's considerable renewable energy potential.

Description The project is being developed and currently owned by Solar Citra Sdn. The company has a stake of 100%.
MK Land Resources Sdn Bhd Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project.
The project is expected to generate 22,735MWh of electricity.
Development status Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in December 2023.
Power purchase agreement The power generated from the project will be sold to Tenaga Nasional under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years.
