stock market is like a boxing match. fundamental is mike tyson , market sentiments is trump , on any normal day tyson will beat the shit out of trump but someday when it is a windy trump comb over hair will block tyson view resulting a few lucky punch for trump .This is my view on this few days hopefully the wind will die down soon

Day in day out, when holding on to this counter, these issues still keep creeping:
1) The newly installed CEO is a recycled specie from proton which is not too attractive, His few months at malakoff is still a period of acquiring the learning curve. Might need 4 to 8 quarters to proof his worth. Not sure whether all teething issues affecting the bottom line has been resolved to achieve a better performance as compared to last Quarter. What IB comments on this Co have to be considered with caution, as this co is highly institutionalized.
2) SBB- this co can purchase 10%, about 500 million shares. Not sure what is the scheme for this SBB. What if they wanna collect an inventory of 500 million shares averaging 90 sen to 95 sen, and with their rate of purchase currently, they will need about 2 years, meaning if there is any upward thrust on this counter it will only happen in mid 2020. Or alternatively, is this SBB in preparation of stabilizing the price for this coming under-performance result?

Nb: There is no ill intent to smear this counter to elicit buy and sell activities., but just to share some underlying concern. If you have any facts please share with me. Thanking you in advance.

CEO was director in Big 4 Accounting firm... experience in M&A and successfully sold Proton to Geely..

To me, if the share price remains underperform... he may suggests to Tan sri to turn this counter private... like Tradewind...

看好公司前景

Areca资本首席执行员黄德明接受《星洲财经》访问时表示，会进行股票回购公司手上都有多余现金，管理层认为公司股价被低估或对营运前景有信心，买进自己公司股权一点也不出奇。

“一般会进行回购活动的公司手上都有现金，公司股价下挫，回购除了稳定股价外，也能合理运用公司资金。”

他补充：“管理层是最清楚自己经营业务的人，在市场出现惊慌抛售的时候，他们看到的是趁低吸纳机会。我认为国内经济成长尚未反映在企业获利上，这可能是递延效应，预测未来数季度的企业获利会继续走扬。”

Fundsupermart分析员李志勇持同样的看法，他指出，一些受马币走强拖累的出口股项，股价表现和去年已经有很大落差，这是一个趁低吸纳的好机会。

“部份管理层对自己的公司有信心，尤其是一些大型蓝筹股，他们看到自己公司面对卖压，入场回购部份股权并不出奇。”

他说：“总的来说，管理层选择买进自己的公司除了为股价提供支持外，另外一个原因就是看好公司前景。他们最清楚公司发展，一时股价下挫，不会影响他们对公司的信心。”

Kesm is a good buy. After the recent AGM, its outlook is very good. very good semiconductor stock. its stock price is likely to surege after the next QR announcement.

Bro, this is an institutional stock la.It did not lose money, but only lower profits by 12.5% for 2017. And you are expecting it to slide down like those penny stocks when they report losses, common get real.
With that report of 6.2 sen something, they will be traded at PE 15, which is fair value. The market now is traded at about PE 16.5. Furthermore, this co has proven that it has a regular income stream, so commanding slightly higher PE should make malakoff still be fundamentally intact.
I agree with CL_Tiok, the current price has already factored in the results.

wtk nta drop . now I cannot say malakof is undervalued
nta too low .
profit keep dropping qr qr .
I dun dare to think how others investors will do
but for sure short term and traders will cut loss asap
only long term will.hold
but must strong heart because I also cannot see bottom support .

ranhill and malakoff is in government protected biz. they just need to be effiencient. malakoff cash flow is so strong. ppe is covering debt. we are buying into cash on hand without factoring single digit growth of power consumption
