After almost 2 mths going with the down wave, many stocks hv forgoten that they can also go up !. This is similar to jammed msian expressway. After the pile up, drivers forget they can speed up too. The Bank of Japan kept monetary policy steady at the end of its two-day meeting, holding off on taking fresh steps to calm bond market volatility.

It looks like markets r taking every opportunity to shake balls... overact or substantial remain to be seen :)

b. if the secondary late news appear at much higher prices like in yinson then sell into strength.

Being sympathetic to the world bearish mkt, KLSE too went into 'spring cleaning'.
It has to cautiously climb up step by step all over again...

2-3 months down the road, we find the reasons for the sell down on the media today is not valid. Why is it always going to happen this way ?

So much of scary selling everywhere.

A little bit more to go then the same sellers shall turn buyers.

Very interesting to see this post by you on 6th June. Normally after the sellers sell, how long in average before the same sellers will come back to the market?

passerby, I wish I know how to answer u.

Movement on DOW is the key to the world trend. We saw a big one minus = down wave. Like sine wave, after a one minus, it has to be followed by 1 plus.
But last 2 days n now, DOW seems to be going into 2 minus.
Am scare n shivering !

The valid consolation is both DOW n S&P500 have recently pierced through convincingly into all-time new highs n r in the exciting growing space.

Amorr/HK Tan said, "break new high it should fail".
It is failing now. Pray it stops at one minus in the next few days.
If this happens, future ahead is bright n wide open......

KLCI had a Special Day up, buyers r seen appearing in late trading.
Cautiously believed it is a healthy profit taking turned consolidation phase for the whole world.

Still a chance of re-balancing act to do n hence target better prospective stocks.

Mkt holds the perfect score, the top scorer. We try to be near there.

Financial psychology n behaviour moves like a sine wave with its 0 axis also in wavy pattern, not the regular horizontal line.
Mkt came down to corner the FED Chairman for a good answer in this FOMC on 18, 19th June.

Since dropping to one minus, it is expected to react to one plus.
Some dare to buy at the lowest, others reacted to sell at the lowest. So what to do now ? Be fast to act is the game.

The Bottom Line

Successful investing requires you to keep a steady hand. Your patience and willpower will get regularly tested as the stock market reacts to news, sometimes justifiably, other times not. Just remember that not every bump in the road is the edge of a cliff. If you react by racing to sell your stocks on every little piece of bad news, you will find yourself trading far too frequently (with the requisite taxes and commissions), and often selling at the worst possible time. But by using focused discipline in separating the news that matters from the noise that doesn't, you should emerge with satisfactory investment results.

Easier said than done for the majority. I still like to solve this.

Wise man advice for newbies n old. n me too.

1. Play your game right
If you are new, do not be too focus on profits.
Your priority is to play the game right.
If you play the game right, profit will follow.

2. What is play your game right?
Know why you buy a share
Know why you are paying the price
Know how much you want to earn
Know when you want to cut loss

3. How to know you play your game right?
Nobody can tell from your face whether you are up or down by 10K
You sleep equally well when you have a loss because you know its only temporary

epf constantly dispose/acquire shares very frequent, even to same counter in very short time. this is non-sense as epf suppose to be longer term holder, esp towards bluechip. such action greatly deviate accuracy of volume data even the index

a kopitiam view suggest epf is not actually buying anything upon nj "sounded", this is merely a psychology tactic to calm the market upon fed meeting.

The world is condemned bcos every country depends on US to prosper.
The shortists have forced the entire world to their knees.
They r legal financial 'robbers'. Rightfully shorting has to be ban, quoting our old timer pm.

In 1.5 day trades, shortists have dumped the mkt to two minus = bear zone.
The Q now is how much lower can it go ?
Will some1 big come to a rescue with an encouraging news ?
Should we bite the bullets or sell partial ?
Can we pray for 1 more up swing to mid year to sell ?
