TOKYO (Sept 24): The dollar held onto gains against most currencies on Thursday as signs of an economic slowdown in Europe and in the United States revived concerns about the fallout from a second wave of coronavirus infections.

The euro, already hit by worries about a return to severe lockdown restrictions, faces an additional hurdle later on Thursday with the release of data on German business sentiment.

The dollar is likely to continue to rise as another spike in coronavirus cases in Europe boosts its safe-haven appeal, while Federal Reserve policymakers called on the U.S. government to provide more fiscal support.

Gloves are short term and high risk. Once vaccine found within this few months or may be just weeks away, it will not hold. If we are long term holder , it does not really matter Maybank go up or down. One day it will return to it intrinsic value . Same goes to gloves is will go back to its intrinsic value.

yes bank will keep drop i waiting 6 to 6.5 keep some..because malaysia eco no running, unemployment rate still high.. now still give money actually gov should focus eco, if eco running automatic unemployment rate will go down and less default loan....

gov should focus what resource malaysia have, like health care, semi conductor, furniture, cpo,farming, and manufacture.. all this will bring benefit to malaysia eco....

Buying into banks is a tough call right now due to the Covid effects and how much this is going to damage the economy mid and longer term. I don't think any respected analyst would put his cock on the block and give you a definitive answer on how all of this is going to end.

I will be looking to buy into banks eventually for a long term investment, ie. capital growth and annual dividends but I'm not yet convinced that this is the ideal time.

I'll be following them all closely though to attempt to see signs of positivity.
