Many have not serviced their loan repayment since MCO.MCO is extended until end of year. This means, for the worse profile, no loan repayment for 9 months. Imagine how many have outstanding. Definitely, there is going to be chaos when many default, next year. Repossession and auction will be the main theme in 2021.

QR is not the only indication stupid. QR is just a report card of past performance and dreams of future to materialise, which has ZERO value at present time.

FYI since March when your generous Directors of Maybank decided to turn Maybank into a charity and grant a moratorium on loans and HP payments not only have you had to forgo your interim dividend, but your shares have dropped in value by about 77c a share.
There are 11.241 Billion shares in Maybank, so your Directors generosity has cost shareholders about RM 6.664 Billion to date (excluding the interim dividend loss).
Now, some of you may ask were your Directors acting in your best interests when they gave away your Capital value and income? Personally I don't think so, if I want to be generous I will give to my favorite charity not have my Directors give away my money to people with BMWs and 3 houses.
Perhaps you can let your Directors know how happy your are with their generosity!

“Buffett’s move into Japan, along with his GOLD investment, confirms he’s getting out of USD BIGLY,” Keiser tweeted on Monday. “USD is trending lower today, about to break key support. Bitcoin – Gold – Silver Will all make new ATH in the near term.”

No dividend, all cabut..if you have to..go ahead. I don't think you will ever know the outcome until end of FY 2020 (for short term). I'm not even talking about OPR cuts (which seems to be somewhere around Sept 2020), so you are in for a ride, interbank fees are also waived, based on that year end report you will have to see if NPL/NPAs have increased (don't forget about the amount banks have to spend to retrieve/recover them). No amount of financial/economic gerrymandering ("penjana" - since the idea is borrow more and bank provide more, let's see if it works) will be able to drive the machine if the vehicle are the financial institutions.

For investors, just be glad that they didn't extend the moratorium. Also, the recent changes to insolvency act also means bank can't just write off certain bad loans. As for borrowers, nothing is ever free LOL!

Most of the ppl enjoy a 6month debt free loan moratorium and thanks to the gov tat we can enjoy tis once in our life. we r using banks money to turn around and that is the price to pay.
