After this we can only buy shares among non-bumi with non-bumi, Perhaps Bursa will have 2 quotes, One for bumi and the other with non bumi d price.... wonder how it works. No wonder, they cant even form their own freight company and have to beg others for it.

Perhaps we can see like housing mart, malay reserve and freehold prices, different range,

Can someone please remind him of his failed Low Yat 2? what happened to his project Mara Digital? Never learn from the past and doom to failure? Low equity participation from retail is due to their lack of funds by restricting participation from the others, imaging the stocks will be sluggish and barely active. the only movers and shakers are big boys and FF who will dictate the price. Imagine Big Boys RSS and retail have no fire power to defend.

If this half baked idea is carried out, truth be told I wouldn't even want to invest in any bumi equities - for sure.

Top 10 richest in malaysia mostly also non bumi lor... they forgot non bumi also part of malaysian alredy. See how many job created by non bumi each year. Can sell off mbb if really happen becoz later those rating agencies will put mbb as lousy unsecured bank then foreigners will also lari, share price drop kua kua, foreigner no want do business with mbb, left only bumi in bumi company.

if they really impose this bumi only ownership scheme. biggest loser will be bumi cause their share price will be lower and takes longer to dispose since smaller market. the housing market is a shining example. the smart bumis may not even invest there too as the stock will be illiquid.

kagura : u mean "more" people are opting for DRIP rather than cash?

If u want to hold for long term, DRIP is better, If short term, cash would be desirable as u might need the cash for a reason.

And if u own few hares, cash is better, but if u hold a lot, DRIP is better. Why?

Last DRIP was at 7.55 (2019) and 7.60 (2020) if i remember correctly. so u gain from more if u sell it at a now.

Anf by opting for DRIP u only incur a small sum (RM10+RM3) which u would otherwise pay RM80 for 1000 shares. ( Pls check with ur own remiser/dealer/broker.

That's why they dont want their people to be educated as using religious schools and single race to brainwash. Do note they are so easily confused.

See what the education system turned them into.

Do note too that they cant form an entity which can be successful.. look at serbudak, MAS, Bank Bumiputra, Proton.. list is endless. I am impressed by their sonlap vision. Why there are no consequences ? Beats me, perhaps it is okay. Perhaps everyone is doing it.

yes, any total of 100 shares makes 1 lot. You can buy a few shares (shortfall) in the ' odd lot - market ' to make up 100 shares. e.g if u hv 96 shares from DRP, you can buy 4 more in the odd lot market to make in 100.

@ToThe Moon : sorry to interrupt jeffchan sifu, Odd lot has a simple ( but need a six months plan)... If usual div is about usual, a max investment of 700 shares gets u 100 shares.. so if u need half, just make sure u have extra mother share , so next DRIP u just subscribe enough to round 100 shares. The rest opt cash... just saying ( only if u can wait and want to exit MBB).. pls feel free to comment. Else any odd share will still be odd if u intend to hold long time.
