JTiasa was supposed to be my comeback story of 2024 but is about to be trumped by General Electric next week: bought @ $158.23 on 31/10/17, unforseeably dropped to $35 during Covid, spun off $28 worth of WABTech in '20 & GE Healthcare in '23 & closed @ $173.46 as investors chase after its final spinoff Vernova!!!😘🤗📈 And in answer to green-eyed monster Ytl2023, the marathon streak is about to reach 900 consecutive days by Friday! ☝

You should get a look at PohKong.
Yesterday announced Q2 result. 3 months later Q3 result will be even better. Why?

https://www.bursamalaysia.com/market_information/announcements/company_announcement/announcement_details?ann_id=3431658

The Group's revenue for the current quarter under review was higher at RM423.818 million as compared to the revenue in the corresponding quarter last year of RM403.836 million, an increase of RM19.982 million. The increasein revenue was due mainly to the increase in demand of gold jewellery and gold investment products during the quarter under review.

The higher revenue and the increase in gold prices had improved profit margin as compared with the preceding quarter.

The Group's profit before tax in the current quarter at RM36.397 million as compared to the profit before tax of RM32.494 million in the corresponding quarter last year showed an increase of RM3.903 million. The overall uptrend in gold prices had improved the operating profits in the current quarter under review.

https://goldprice.org/gold-price-malaysia.html

Look at the gold price from Feb 2024 to Apr 2024, you should expect PohKong Q3 profit to reach 10 sen per share.

You can also look at Crescendo.
As it is coming closer to end of Mac whereby Q4 result will be announced, price should move up gradually with the expectation of windfall dividend.

Long term holders like Fong Siling bought 5,000 shares of Inno when it was cheap and unwanted

After inno turned cash rich it started giving good dividend and Inno price jumped from 50 sen to Rm1.50

Fong Siling aka Cold Eye is now in Jtiasa top 30 with 10 million Jtiasa (double when he got in inno)

Got see Jtiasa going to follow Inno's examples?

if fong got connection with the board of director..which i dreaming maybe he does...then he would be following the same SOP..

Learn from Billionaire Oak Tree Fund of Howard Marks

When he wanted to buy some Value shares some funds were disposing in huge volumes
Having done his homework well he bravely bought

And it turned later he made lots of monies
His Fund succeeded beyond many and Howard Marks turned into a Billionaire

Even Warren Buffet has to admit among the many Financial Newsletter Oaktree by Howard Marks to took interest first

3 major shareholders appears to be selling... all of them in equal amounts - one each from HK, China and Spore.. What they appear to have sold is relatively small ..to what they are now holding.. No idea to what level the price would go to....in the near term

Ho ho ho...84.7 mil down to 68.6 mil in 6 mths & since the recent price is the highest it has been in many years, they will be motivated to SELLLLL even more aggressively! Dividend already paid out so you'll hv to wait another 5 months at least for the next dividend(if any!). Lots of DOWNSIDE....📉

Jenine own roughly 7% of Jtiasa..close to 70m shares compared to about 968m of total shares..They are foreign investors..so their disinvestment could be for a variety reasons..relocating their assets, taking advantage of currency changes or simply to sell down to buy back later..which our local institutional investors do so often...

Value investing is based on Company's fundamental

Prices can fluctuate short term by human buying or selling

So temporary price is dictated by humans. But eventually the real status of the Company dictates price.

As long term investors we prefer fundamental over human sentiments

Ytl2023

You referring to dompeilee?

Is he or is she?

Dompeilee got trapped in jtiasa above Rm2.10 when she bought at Uncle Kyy's time in year 2014.

Confirmed by Secretary of Jtiasa that Uncle Kyy did visit Jtiasa and flew their helicopter to see those vast lands of jtiasa over 200,000 acres

Problem with Uncle Kyy then was he failed to see those planted trees average age only 4 years old and cannot expect much Ffb

Now is different. Jtiasa trees are of 14 years prime age. Very fruitful time

Both Dompeilee and Uncle Kyy should load up jtiasa now as it is the best

Only one stock is better than Jtiasa, and that is Tsh Resources

Dompeilee escaped from lots of rubbish stocks but some like Kps and Naim are ok

Kps has sold King Koil and will give 4.5 sen dividend soon. If sell more to unlock cash then Kps can turn into a Pelikan

For Naim you can see how Dompeilee is so excitedly buying more and more cheap Naim in Naim tread

Naim has top 1, 2 & 4 positions in Dayang
Dayang share price up from Rm1.10 to Rm2.38 while Naim still not moving

Since Naim holds 280 mil shares of Dayang as top holder it has Rm664 millions cash alone in Dayang. Translated it is about Rm1.32 cash per share

As such she saw Naim at 78 sen she just screamed her head out and connot resist buying more cheap Naim

Tell you what Dompeilee

Go call up Secretary Madam Ong of Naim Holdings

Tell them just sell some Dayang shares to reward shareholders then Naim will fly up
Go do something productive

calvintaneng

56,242 posts

Posted by calvintaneng > 2024-03-21 23:26 | Report Abuse

And Dayang is top holder of perdana petroleum while Naim directly in top 2, 3 & etc in Perdana as well
So Naim owns 77 millon shares of Perdana directly. Of sbout 4.27 sen
Can just sell this surplus perdana shares and give out this as a special dividend

So jtiasa has proactively given 2.5 sen dividend

Myself & calvin seem to share something in common(mind the pun), which is our attraction to deep value plays. On hindsight, I was careless in entering Jtiasa in '14 because it was not a deep value play(unlike '09 when it dropped to 50c) but back then, it was so easy earn hundreds to thousands per day just buying the next stock that hadn't move yet, I was prone to complacency, just like the money-printing Sino Hua-an in late 2017 caused me to become lax & buy General Electric with little deep research in my attempt to diversify into US stocks. Fortunately, GE, like JTiasa, eventually came up roses & it's now one of the hottest stocks on the NYSE & poised to earn over 20% ROI when I plan to sell on Tues. Wishing all holders the best here, but I'm DONE with JTiasa as it's no longer as deep value as it was a year ago... 頑張って 🎌(Ganbatte) to all! My eyes are trained mostly towards Tokyo these days as I have fifteen paper gainers led by another major comeback story which soared past its 11-year high: Nomura!🗾💹

Happy morning

At this juncture due to heavy selling by major holders are actually opportunity to buy

>>>>

The problem with one without a firm philosophy.

In TSH, major shareholder was buying repeatedly. Calvin shouted it was time to buy. The price then was 1.78 and Calvin said it was cheap. Otherwise why would the major shareholder bought 500,000 shares repeatedly. (See my post on manipulation. 🤔. The price dropped from 1.78 to 1.00. (Facts).

Now in JTiasa, major shareholders were selling millions of shares. Calvin reappeared and shouted it is the best time to buy. His followers must be totally confused by Calvin’s postings.

Of course, a few here just noted the manic depressive behaviour of his wanton promotions to enrich only “her-self”.

Posted by Integrity. Intelligent. Industrious. 3iii (iiinvestsmart)$€£¥ > 2024-03-22 07:53 | Report Abuse

Jtiasa is now >> rM 1.00 amd Calvin asked to buy.

It was at a low of 30 sen when on hindsight, it must be undervalued.

In 2014, Calvin asked to buy when its share was 1.40+ and gave a target price of 2.50 at that time. However, after some slight fluctuations around 1.40 which excited Calvin a lot (observing hisposting activities), it soon trended downwards to below rM1 and then to 70 sen and eventually to 30 sen. Calvin too disappeared, as observed by total silence during this period.

The price drifted to 50 sen or so. Then a sudden jump to 80 sen (?2019). Calvin posted to sell to take profit and to reinvest into other stocks he liked. (I think for many it was Cut loss from their and calvin’s Buying price of > 1.40+).

Do you think Calvin is good in spotting undervaluation?
Was he rational in his approach?
How discipline was he in his investing?

If he lost money in Jtiasa from his promotion of this stock Jtiasa in 2014, how does he value Jtiasa today.

Maybe at today’s price, this stock is already overpriced? This maybe among a reason for a major shareholder selling shares, among many other reasons.

Good morning.

I never look at PE alone to “value a share”. It is the best parameter to use to fool those investors who are not knowledgeable.

Yet, PE is a very useful financial parameter for those who understand it. It is only one of many parameters one use to value a stock.

Posted by Integrity. Intelligent. Industrious. 3iii (iiinvestsmart)$€£¥ > 2024-03-22 08:01 | Report Abuse

How often have you seen Calvin shouting stock X is very cheap. Its PE is only 3 and yet he lost his money.😀
