Yesterday, a General Electric punt in Oct '17 finally passes the breakeven point inclusive of commissions...& on paper I no longer need to include its spinoff of GE Healthcare in '23 & WABTech in '20, totalling a 18% ROI, to register a capital gain on my bet! ON HINDSIGHT, Jan 2016 was a terrible time to go long on JTiasa, but it seemed a good buy at the time to certain ppl maybe because after going slightly red in 2Q '15, the co. had 3 consecutive +ve qtrs & another one to be announced in May '16. In my 30 years in the mkt, > 40% of my picks went DOWN before eventually going up. Short-term punting is only for fools who think that cutting loss frequently doesn't cost money, who have the arrogance to think they can EVER predict short-term movements & for snake oil sellers to sell their half-baked trading systems to others who probably never really put their OWN capital at risk because it's easier to teach than to DO.

Ivy Ng is always pessimistic about palm oil. I have never seen her say anything positive about the entire sector. Always about labour issues, lack of supply constraints, El Nino climate headwinds. She is the most boring analyst yet she keeps winning awards. BS

If you compare Tsh to SOP

Jtiasa has about 206,000 acres while SOP got over 300,000 acres

Jtiasa only got about 2/3 of SOP lands but production only 10% to 15% less which is considered superior
So Jtiasa actually quite good

Thplant and SOP after deducting the external source, is around 2.8

How UTDPlant able to have such high yield?

Previously you mentioned UTDPlant has train track, does it mean UTD is more efficient in harvesting and Jayatiasa is actually not able to harvest 100%?

Calvin prefers JTiasa more than Ta Ann as JTiasa is selling at 35% DISCOUNT BELOW NTA of Rm1.85.

I like Margin of Safety like I like driving cars with ABS Brake. I also like to bring along life jacket & flash light when going deep sea fishing at night.

At Rm1.18 JTiasa (Giant Treasure) is now a Real Value Buy.

I expect the next One to Two Years Will Propel JTiasa back to over Rm2.50 from which it had fallen.

Palm Oil is cyclical. And the best time to buy is now when it is scraping along the very bottom when Mr. Koon & all the negative publicity have pushed it into OVERSOLD Territory!

For now only Utd plant is leading due to its dedicated train tracks in efficiency plus high oil extraction

But jaya tiasa is catching up fast as its lands are more

Jtiasa has 206,000 acres versus Utd plant limited 156,000 acres small

So further expansion for Utd plant is limited to only 156,000 acres while Jtiasa has 206,000 acres and out of it 171,000 acres are now fullly planted and matured

And this is how Jtiasa managed to increase it Ffb production by a huge increase of 30% YoY

The usual time of ffb harvest is from 6am to 2pm daily

Now why waste daylight?

2 pm till 6pm still bright in Sarawak
Why not tell the Ffb harvesters to work overtime another 4 to 5 hours harvesting ripe fruits or they will go to waste

Only thing is the Staff of Jtiasa also willing to stay overtime
Now all will also get overtime pay
So paying a little more wages to reap the golden crop is worth it all

Kudos to the Management Team who is hardworking!
