👉Is impairment included in depreciation and amortization?

Impairments are not the same as depreciation or amortization. In the case of depreciation or amortization, the loss of value of the asset is anticipated and planned for. With impairment, the loss in value is unexpected.

Impairment is the permanent reduction in the value of a fixed asset or intangible asset to the point that its market value is less than the value recorded on the financial statements. Under GAAP, impairments are entered as a loss on the income statement. Impairments are not the same as depreciation or amortization.

So did his TA tell him Jaks will drop to 12 or 13 sen? 🤣🤣🤣

Everyone will be a millionaire if a pasar malam TA reader can foretold the price movement without looking into the FA.

In general share price will go up in tandem with increase earning and I am confident jayatiasa quater ended 31/12/2024 will be a record breaking quarter with another dividend.

With the currant CPO price, Jtiasa will have Free cash flow of more than 250million a year (last 3 years, FCF is about 250M), Jtiasa can give max about 25cents div a year. Since Jtiasa is already a Net Cash Company, from now on as long as it give div more than 10cents, the share price should increase to min RM2.

Hoho need to repost again as earlier had replied to KonLee as most active Negative commentator in Jaks :

Jaks : catched the Bottom Fishing at RM 0.185 on April 2023 ( 👉 after Sslleee posted sold Jaks on April 2023 since 2021 ) ... Up to RM 0.225 in 2 months .. then invested at RM 0.19 on July 2023 .. Gap Up on 1/9/2023 to RM 0.245 …

👉Then Price is downtrend to the Lowest RM 0.12 ( Current Price RM 0.135 with NTA 0.60 )….

Ssleee asked me did I average down Jaks :

My reply :

1.) No .. but bought Privasia with cost below RM 0.10 .. n tried my learned TA on Cup n Handle affirmed with Information of a Gov Project , also Privasia rushing to List the 3 tranche PP … it did broke up to RM 0.14 …ssleee is active in Privasia forum also .

2.) posted earlier that wait for Jaks QR ended March 2024 to be released, as Vietnam has taken actions on 2 well known Businessmen ( One man n One Lady ) on Corruption… not from Power industry!

Just coincidentally :
Toyo Ventures Vietnam power project terminated >>> is due to Financing issue ( 2 x 1,060 MW) .

i wonder how many people would buy plantation stocks at current price anticipating good QR coming? when i traded FCPO i would always track soybean production forecast. 2025 forecast for bumper crops. Of course, forecast is forecast. Anyway, with below article, means palm oil demand can only go north from here on 2 scenario. 1 soyoil goes up 2 Indonesia government subsidise more biodiesel.
Was in Bali in December. I always feel glad to be Malaysian whenever i travel SEA, except Singapore. I feel so even when i was in Europe.

SSlee. Why you care so much about this conman? The way this mike writes, how many would fall for it?
If you are concerned about newbies in KLSE, you should challenge those gurus who are doing things to help everyone.
I have yet to decide if you are one of those. But one thing for sure, your investment skills improved. Can't say that about your EQ

Jayatiasa reported a lower PBT because of high depreciation cost and finance cost. With rapid repayment of borrowing, jayatiasa is now in net cash position and hence I am expecting the high cashflow/EBITDA that previously used to pay down the borrowing will now be used to reward shareholders with higher dividend payout.

Hoho, With high free cash flow which previously use to pay debt , now left with about 100 min borrowing with net cash above 200m plus continuously operating cash flow of 250m per years as long as cpo price above 4000. Jtiasa can and will give high dividend after this

High depreciation means lower profit where lower tax because depreciation is considered as expenses but the cash actually is there. It is add back as operations cash flow. But some people don’t understand and keep on spinning. Hopefully someone can kick him out.
