Congratulating Tony, Capital A executive chairman Datuk Kamarudin Meranun said this great achievement reflects the hard work, resilience and dedication of all Allstars across Capital A.

“This recognition comes at a high time that the industry has hit the ground running, building and growing after the global Covid-19 pandemic, and highlights the value we deliver to our customers as a low-cost, value-driven aviation and travel services group,” he said in a statement here on Wednesday.

“Looking ahead, we will continue our mission in delivering unparalleled customer experience while continuing to positively contribute to the economy and the industry, regionally and beyond,” he said.

The ‘Aviation 100’ poll is a comprehensive and exhaustive process that spans the entire year, consisting of regional-specific votes, and is renowned for its credibility in identifying the most exceptional figures in finance, leasing, and law, along with top executives from leading airlines.

The awards ceremony was held on the sidelines of the Airline Economics Growth Frontiers Asia Pacific conference, with some 700 aviation professionals attending.

Voted by industry experts, including airlines, lessors, banks, law firms and other key stakeholders, the annual industry poll by Airline Economics recognises and celebrates the industry's most outstanding leaders.

Just a simple question:
Anyone still believe Stony will unveil capA PN17 regularisation plan on or before 31th Dec 2023??? or will be another extension?

CapitalA CEO Sir Tony Fernandes;

Fielding questions from the media on its Practice Note 17 (PN17) status and how it would affect its liquidity?

Fernandes said that the classification is merely an "accounting issue" and does not affect its liquidity by pointing to the RM2.5 billion it managed to raise in 2021.

"I mean, if you look at the PN17 classification, it is purely accounting and in fact, the solution has nothing to do with liquidity.

"That is why I have spoken with Bursa to relook at the rules and clarify the definition of what constitutes PN17, because it is not really clear to the layman.

"PN17 has zero effects on us. We have technically been PN17 for the last two years but for the relief measures.

"We raised RM2.5 billion [in 2021] and we are raising another RM1 billion of capital soon.

PN17 was imposed because we did not pay the leasing costs which appear on the profit and loss (P&L) statement.

"By accounting the restructuring, a merger deficit of RM5 billion has been recorded on the P&L. If we take these two things out, we would not be PN17 as the solution to PN17 is accounting as well, because the group has more than enough liquidity?

A member of UK Chartered Accountant, Bursa can 'Fly Kite'...their RP... CapitalA will have positive earnings...all its forward quarters!?

What makes AirAsia(Now CapitalA), different?

“Our culture is the biggest and most important thing. What makes us different? That really is AirAsia’s people,” said Tony.
He believes that you can have the greatest technology at your disposal but if you don’t have the right people, you are screwed. You can buy the best software, you can buy the best technology, but if you don’t have the right mindset of people wanting to use that technology, you are wasting your money. He further added,

“My job is all about culture, about polishing raw diamonds into diamonds, to make people know that they are our best assets.
You can’t value talent in a balance sheet(like one guy, keep on harping past balance sheet), u know I know lah, and the biggest strength of AirAsia is our talent.”
Sir Tony Fernandes.

Another former employee recounts how meetings were usually filled with sexual innuendo. Fernandes would comment on “whether someone had good sex in a week or if someone in the office would like to have sex with someone else.” These were meetings where both male and female employees were present, the person adds.

“He used it as a tool to add humor, to make a stressful environment less stressful, without realizing that it made people feel uncomfortable and was disrespectful,” the source adds.

Very often comments that were casually thrown around were sexist, misogynistic, or even misandrist, says one source. “We didn’t take offense to it probably because we got accustomed to seeing the intent behind those comments. It was expected that none of these comments were to be taken seriously.”

At times like this, employees ran the risk of not fitting into the culture that the management created if they “didn’t play along.” Looking back now, this source says it’s “beyond comprehension” how people put up with some of the inappropriate things that were said during meetings.

Stony is working like mad trying to raise cash by new borrowings, cash equity, advance sales for working capital and rollover of current liabilities just not to default on the payment due on the Current liabilities RM 14,208,631,000

NYSE/Nasdaq Equity News:
The price-to-book ratio has a big problem.
More and more U.S. companies report negative book value, the result of accounting rules and structural changes in the market.
This creates broad confusion and problems for the famous value factor, and indexes or strategies which rely on it as a measure of cheapness.

Negative equity companies are often written off as distressed, but after reporting negative equity, most of them survive for years and have, as a group, outperformed the market 57% of the time.

1. There are currently #118 companies in the U.S. market with negative equity. These companies have had negative equity for an average of over three and a half years, and

2. #25% have had negative equity for over five years.
One example is Domino’s Pizza which has had negative equity since their 2004 IPO but has outperformed the S&P 500 by a cumulative 1,442%.

3. McDonalds, H&R Block, Yum Brands, HP, Motorola, Denny’s, AutoZone, Wayfair, Starbucks, Papa John's, n many others are also on the list of those with negative book value.
Not classified as distressed companies in NYSE n Nasdaq.
FYI.
CapitalA Negative Equity, as stated by Sir Tony Fernandes, is reasonably correct anyway.
Stock Exchange, especially in ASEAN, need to change, to accommodate, more start-ups, franchises, with minimum paid up capital. FYI.

By the way do you know capA last RI is not an equity rights issue but a 7-YEAR REDEEMABLE CONVERTIBLE UNSECURED ISLAMIC DEBT SECURITIES ("RCUIDS") paying 8% yearly interest with free warrants.

The reason is most likely no bank will accept capA shares as collateral to lend multi-million to Stony for him to subscribe for his RI entitlement.

Do not get kon buying into almost bankrupt publicity company like Capital A loh!

Sustained wealth are make by Co that generate cash with little capex investment not like the Airasia Business Model..........with negative shareholders fund with huge borrowing loh!

A lot of people....chasing this type of business, but end result, these optimistic investors incurred huge losses eventually bcos of fallacy loh!

U can see many of these type of soooooochaiiiiiis loh!
Just look at GRABS & SEA.....use to be darling of ASIA stocks but now great loser stock mah!

Stay with surewin stock type like Insas the savior of all investors loh!

Most likely Stony is purposely trying to get CapA delist from Bursa so that he has a free hand to list whatever inside capA in NYSE/Nasdaq that appreciate negative equity and come with a bonus of a celebrity CEO

Delisting from Bursa is Not a Option for Tony ( always people thought this is the easy way Out ) Moving from
Listed Bhd and ordinary Bhd requires Revaluation of Debts and Assets by Lenders (Banks ) Are Cap A Books in Order???
Even Outsiders like me can sense Tony's Books Are heavily manipulated. Bank Auditors have to Check the
"Real Ones".......Right now Bankers Closed One Eye and Open One Eye, just donT want to stir-Up so much
